It is rare to see people openly showing off their HIV‑positive status and even revealing the face of the person who chose to love them. It is too much information and a clear breach of her privacy, so I decided to shield their faces on my platform.
The lovestruck positive man captioned the photo: “Choose love even when HIV is part of the story. Choose the person, not the status. Even with my HIV status, she chose me.”

This is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHe can decide to disclose his status,
but he should have shielded her.
God bless you Stella for hiding her face.
Those who know them , will still decipher her face. I guess Stella was just being careful. Whilst , living positively is encourages and promoted, there is no need to put yourself out there ..... to prove what and to who? I still say that social media ,which is now monetized leading to the craze for likes, engagement , followers etc is and still will be the downfall of many. I say it all the time, everyone forms enlightened till you tell them you are positive.... then you will begin to notice the subtle shifts in their behavior ( not wanting to hug you, not sharing general stuff with you and so many others). This announcement could even lead to the stigmatization of their unborn children. How many people do you will he show results to prove the children or wife are negative ( if they will even believe , given the ease with which documents can be falsified in our country). It is well.
ReplyDeleteHer face was not hidden in the other blog, both there faces was very visible..
DeleteI guess the excitement of being loved got the better of him.
ReplyDeleteI don't know why people always feel the need to broadcast their supposed blessings.
