A 30-year-old man has been arrested by the Enugu State Police Command over the alleged murder of his 27-year-old girlfriend, Ugwu Chinyere Rosemary.
The incident took place on September 19, 2026, after an argument over who had infected the other with HIV.
Investigations revealed, 30-year-old Okpara Chibuike Emmanuel had attacked the victim with a pestle and machete during a domestic spite at the victim's residence, leading to her sustaining a deep cut on her head, neck and a severed wrist …..
He then went ahead to hid the victim's body in his toilet.
Emmanuel was arrested by the police on September 21, 2026, after rescuing him from angry mobs and the search of his apartment led to the recovery of the victim's severed wrist and other exhibits.
Emmanuel was arraigned by the magistrate's court on October 16, 2026 and remanded in a correctional facility.

ReplyDeleteThe sister of the deceased came out to debunk the rumor. She said her sister didn't have HIV, that Emmanuel is lying so as to justy what he did. She also said breasts, eyes and some other vital parts were missing from her sister's body.
DeleteOnly God knows what he did to that poor girl. He was comfortably living with her corpse, sleeping and eating in the same room until neighbors broke down his door.
