He has written his will and decides that he does not want kids....
In the episode titled ''How To Discover Your True Self'' Chude revealed that he wrote his will at age 30 or 31 after doing an exercise that forced him to confront death. According to him, the exercise made him question how he really wanted to live, what kind of legacy he wanted to leave, and the provisions he needed to make for his mother and an NGO he supports
It was during that same period of reflection that he came to the realisation that he did not want to have children despite being an only child.
Chude also talked about how he has been very intentional about the opportunities he has allowed into his life since 2016. He stressed that he only takes on work he genuinely enjoys, and as a rule, he steers clear of panels and speaking engagements. He says that he once rejected a 1 million dollar offer simply because he did not like the clients energy.
He also spoke about learning to set boundaries, not just with the public but with his private circle. He explained that while he quickly understood that the public is not my friend, it took longer to apply the same rules to family and close friends.
He traced his journey back to his clinical depression diagnosis in 2016, and recalled how his therapist asked him to journal things he loved. He said that he wrote music but realised he barely played music in his own house, a moment that showed him how disconnected he had become from his own joy and that made him more determined to find his joy and protect his peace while at it.

ReplyDeleteI have a relative that’s an only child and they did not have children either. I think it stemmed from some sort of childhood trauma she experienced. Her stepdad was very touchy feely and I don’t know how far it went. Childhood SA turns a lot of those adults off from being parents or settling down in conventional relationships because they know how false appearances can be.
DeleteThere are those saying this man is in the closet, it is possible that he could have been a victim of childhood SA. Parents need to be observant of what is going on in their households and never get overly comfortable that they have the perfect life.
