He said:
“Tayo Sobola should be trained. That lady is trainable. In my own opinion, I think she has lost her place in acting because of the permanent tattoo on her arm and she would insist on wearing dresses that expose the tattoo. And you will tell me that is a responsible housewife?”
He added that professional training is essential for actors, stressing that performers should avoid permanent body markings that cannot be removed for roles.
“So, will you cast her as a responsible housewife or child? This is lack of training. As an actor, you’re not supposed to have body markings, body piercings or permanent features on your body. You’re not supposed to have anything that cannot be removed from you for a movie role.”
Well at least she can be cast as a beautiful woman!!!

She can fit the role of gen Z housewife...
ReplyDeleteThis goes beyond mere opinion of Sotayo to me. Sounds more like a personal attack on her person cos he's not a producer neither is he a director to come up with such nonsense. He's just a mere critic.
DeleteLol. What else does this man do besides condemning others in his field? Is he trying to rage bait them? Angelina Jolie has several tattoos and it hasn't ruined her career. Let's even bring it home, Bolanle Ninalowo has tattoos and he shows them off. He should rest please. I don't even like tattoos but let people do what pleases them especially if it doesn't affect you directly.
ReplyDeleteYour question is like asking what else Solomon Buchi does besides condemning Nigeria and Nigeriais in his contents.
DeleteSolomon Buchi talks about the ills in our society
DeleteIn the west even the nurses and doctors that will treat you have visible tattoos though its now in the ethic not to but most if not all have designs everywhere. So he should not discriminate. Even permanent eye brow is now called a tattoo
DeleteShe can still act a wife if she can cover up with clothing.
ReplyDeleteShe is beautiful 🤩
She worships osun, that is why I stopped admiting her. I think she also married an emir
DeleteWhat sort of primitive mentality is this? Na wah
ReplyDeleteMtcheeewwww
ReplyDeleteSo having a tatoo on her arm won't potray her as a respomsible housewife. Very lame excuse. Ok, what happened to make up?
ReplyDeleteYou have not heard of make-up/make-over oga old school? Abi you think they are for only faces. Maybe stop displaying your ignorance sir
ReplyDeleteBaba these days everything can be covered, even airbrushed away. Keep up sir
ReplyDeleteN awooooo
ReplyDeleteHello Iya Boys
Gerra-here ..go just dey bark like 🐕🦺
ReplyDeleteSo she can't wear clothing that'll cover the tattoo?
ReplyDeleteWhat he said isnt true, although, I dont think she is even interested in acting again....
ReplyDeleteE hen! I said it. No wonder Nigerian movie industry is like this, with this kind of bush to nbu to nbu suegbe mentality.
ReplyDeleteE sure me die say this man has never watched a foreign movie in his life and has never heard of make up or clothes in movies.
Primitive dinosaur.
Who is this again? Pls leave Shotayo gaga alone 🙄
ReplyDeleteIn this era? No na, the tattoo can be covered by a MUA.
ReplyDeleteThis is ridiculous. So the makeup department cannot cover up her wear makeup coverup or costume dept. put her in long sleeves in some scenes. If she is a multidimensional actress she should be able to play any role. The tattoos are not pretty but I do not see it being an impediment if she is the right person for the role. Cast the woman and work around the tats, put her in long sleeves, put on makeup, or whatever else is possible. Lamest excuse ever.
ReplyDeleteYou will not mind your business now old man. When she will insult you now you will say she does not have respect.
