A 40‑year‑old lawyer, Olamide Ehinfun‑Adekunle, has become Nigeria’s youngest female Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), marking a major milestone for young women in the legal profession.
Olamide, a partner at Afe Babalola & Co, was among the 68 lawyers approved by the Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee on July 23, 2026 and officially sworn in by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Kudirat Kekere‑Ekun, on October 12, 2026.
With over 14 years of experience in commercial litigation and arbitration, her elevation is being celebrated nationwide as a powerful win for young female lawyers breaking barriers in a traditionally male‑dominated space.
