Residents Scoop Vegetable Oil After Tanker Overturns At Ketu‑Ojota Bridge in Lagos

There was mild chaos at the Ketu‑Ojota Bridge along Ikorodu Road after a tanker carrying vegetable oil overturned, spilling its contents across the road.

The accident drew a crowd almost immediately as people rushed to collect the spilled oil, scooping it with bowls, buckets and any container they could find. Videos from the scene show residents scrambling around the tanker while the product flowed freely on the asphalt.
The spill caused traffic disruption in the area, with vehicles slowing down as people occupied parts of the road to gather the oil.

Please be careful of seemingly cheap unsealed groundnut oil henceforth cos this one that spilled on the road will be dangerous for consumption....

Those that are taking the spilled oil hope it's for personal use. Before they will package bacteria and send to the market.
