She was one of those conferred with the title of MFR today November 14,2011 in Abuja.
The very proud actress was escorted to the event by her heart throb linus idahosa and both stepped into the venue looking excited.

ReplyDeleteCongrats to her. Though this award has lost it's honorary appeal for me. Every Dick, Tom and Buffoon gets it this days. Nuff said.
ReplyDeleteAn afrocentric artiste; Nnena Omali just caught my attention by the way. Check out her song;Palava www.mp3twit.com/fYR
Erm....what happened to the Kanekalion(sp) braids????
ReplyDeleteI thought Stephanie was supposed to wear braids for one year? Abeg correct me if I am wrong.
She is sooo beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteThe dress would be great without the wings lol.
ReplyDeleteMy respect and admiration for Mr. Chinua Achebe tripled when he rejected this award. The people who showed up there to receive it lack a sense of pride, they have no knowledge that they are being USED but just so they can have a useless trinket at home, they all showed up there like the sheep that they are to suck up to the president for useless recognition. This award is like using a small bandage to cover a festering 12inch cut across the abdomen! This award ceremony that came out of nowhere is being used to divert attention from the ills of our society and our president's lack of interest in correcting them. This is like the tale of Rome burning while Nero fiddled! We should have known the awards were useless and conducted for show and without thought when they didn't even have enough certificates or medal to give to each person and when over 300 people where nominated. Ask any of those fools WHY EXACTLY they were nominated and why they think they deserve it, none of them will be able to give a concrete response except may be to say "well, why not? If wasn't me, it would have been another person now so make I go collect my own, jare!"
All the monies spent on printing useless certificates and buying medals, buying drinks/foods, printing programs, renting a venue etc couldn't have been put into better use? I am SICK for and SICK of Nigeria.
