From Mushin to Mohits to Mavin......and now to Black Diamond.
Negotiations are currently on to end Wande Coal's Contract with Mavin records and as you read this he is unofficially no more with them..Yes,insiders say an official statement is coming soon.well as soon as they settle how the contract should end.
The whisperings started filtering in when Wande Coal‘s record label imprint, Black Diamond Entertainment was part of the introduction for his new video featuring Don Jazzy, “The Kick”
Yesterday Monday July 29,2013,Wande Coal's new single, “Kilaju” leaked online prematurely and there was no mention of Mavin on the cover, and it was funny that Don jazzy kept quiet on twitter and instagram.
Insiders say Wande Coal is the chief songwriter in the Mavin fold and has been behind the scenes crafting hits for the likes of D’Banj, Tiwa Savage and his other label mates and might be the reason he wants to go solo....to do his own thing, his own way.
The official press release to announce Wande's exit from Mavin records is coming soon.
Wande Coal and Don Jazzy remain friends i hope?....There should be no long thing!
*His skin is really black diamond.here's wishing him all the best.hes a good song writer so the press release should be sweet.

ReplyDeleteI hope wande coal knows wat he is doing singing his quite different from running a label and handling the business of show biz a lot of artist thinks when they have dropped couple of hitzs then dey no it all ask Ay.com olu maintain soul e and odas what happened to them.
wat wande should have done was ask of partnership since he is the major song writer in mavin
don jazzy would consent pure and simple same thing jay z did with def jam and roc nation
I have always wondered about the lull in his career as well the guy is obviously talented but don jazzy is not handling his career with the dedication and skill required its not about tweeting recharge cards and stuffs that pushes artistes out there it takes much more of a business approach that's why it's called "show biz" he is a good producer but bad businessman
ReplyDeleteHe has concentrated way too much on ties savage even though she has more hype than talent and his bro to the detriment of real talent in wande coal I am sure the guy must have weighed his options carefully and made an informed decision before making the move his voice and style is such that he can easily work with any producer and I'm sure one of the highly talented and hungry producers will manufacture a hit soon enough
Lets face it how mny productions does don jazzy actually do these days?he is mostly sitting back with a team of producers working under him using his name
This is a good move for all involved.
ReplyDeleteDJ has always given props to Wande's black diamond.
MoHits aka Mavin has run its course.
DJ needs to stop babying his artists. He needs to produce other artists.
He produced Phenom and the tune was badt but not promoted.
Letting go of his crew will be hard but its the logical progression.
If DJ leaves it any longer he could lose his music mojo.
Btw what has Dbanj done after Mohits? Where is the Good Music album?
The Kick is a club banger.
Even take banana is cool.
I give Dbanj a year. Beat jumper oshi.
