Lady Caught Smuggling Marijuana Hidden In Noodles Into Kirikiri Prison.

A 35-year-old caterer in Lagos will soon be remanded in prison custody for attempting to smuggle cannabis hidden inside noodles to her boyfriend in prison. Officials at the Kirikiri Prison, Lagos discovered the drug during routine examination of food items brought for inmates. The suspect in her statement said that her detained boyfriend directed her to a woman to collect two cartons of noodles.

The Lagos State commander of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Mr Aliyu Sule said that the suspect who was transferred to the State command by the prison authority will soon be charged to court. “A 35-year-old single lady, Oyinyechi Ezirim was transferred by the Prison authorities for smuggling cannabis to inmates. The compressed dried weeds concealed inside noodles tested positive for cannabis and weighed 4.1kg. She will soon be charged to court” Aliyu noted.

According to the suspect, “I used to buy noodles for my boyfriend who has been in prison custody for one year. He promised to get married to me and we have been in courtship. Last week, he told me that a former inmate promised to send him two cartons of noodles. He asked me to contact the man on phone. When I did, the man referred me to his wife who gave me the noodles. Unfortunately, when I got to the prison, twenty packs of the noodles were found to contain hemp. That was how I found myself in this case”. Oyinyechi who hails from Imo State is a graduate of Imo School of Catering.

Chairman/Chief Executive of the NDLEA, Ahmadu Giade while commending the Prison authority said that the case will be thoroughly investigated. “I commend the Prison authority for the arrest and prompt transfer of the suspect for prosecution. This case will be properly investigated. We shall get to its root and arrest other persons involved in the criminal act. Members of the public must be careful in their dealings and avoid getting involved in drug trafficking” Giade stated....culled

  8. That is why I don't subscribe to people using me as courier especially if I'm travelling outside Nigeria. Help me five these shoes to my sister in Houston. No way! Please a friend wants to send me things from Dubai please help me bring them home. Sorry not me.
My husband's school mate once told him to help him carry laptops from him Bro here in Nigeria and bring it to him in Texas.
I asked why and he said they were faulty and he needed to fix them. My husband agreed and the Bro brought the laptop. I don't think I've seen a laptop that big and heavy before. I told my husband there's no way you are carrying this thing. Leave it at home and tell your friends Bro to come pick it and send through courier. No matter the cost we will foot the bill.
My husband felt he was betraying his friend and I told him you better betray him because if u end up in jail he won't even think of u twice.
Another suspicious thing was that we asked them to bring the laptop days before. He didn't bring it till the night my husband was to travel. When he arrived the friend asked for the laptop my husband told him he didn't bring it they should send through courier and he would foot the bill. Na there the guy pass blank my husband. Till date they never spoke again.
Be wise and know who to trust. As for me and my house we trust only God.

  17. @sweet mother thanks for the insight. That was how i nearly enter wahala ooo while returning from my very first london trip. One young girl fine and about 25ish saw mama like me sitting with my small box waiting for check in, she said i should help deliver some medicine to her grandmum in lagos, l actually considered it o, just that my bag would be over luggage limit and so i said no i cannot assist her. She tried to pressure me and i said no still. It was when she walked away that it suddenly occured to me what almost happened and as i looked around to beckon the police she was nowhere in sight. I remained in shock for a long time-me, courier-God forbid!

  23. @Sweetmother.hmmmm reminds me of my experience.I was in final year in uni in naija, got UK visa and already did shakara for my school.was going to london,my best friend's mum gave me 20 flat sandals all those hausa flat for men, said i should give her son in London.Hmmmm i packed all the stuff as she brought them an hour before i was to leave Ibadan to go to Lagos airport. On the way to Lagos from Ibadan,I thought to repack everything as i was traveling with lots of foodstuff and attachments.i removed the 20 sandals from the big box, packed 18 in my hand luggage,2 in my handbag.I checked the big box in.i was gisting with my mum, aunt and some people we met at the airport when one flat sandal fell from my handbag, one of our new friends asked where i bought the sandal i said i didnt buy that i am helping someone to deliver to her son.she screamed Jesus you are in big shit,my mum was scared and asked her why.she said her brother is in prison right now in Uk for carrying these same hausa flat sandal for someone that the sandal had some things in them.Hian i carried my hand luggage and handbag together with my mum infact mum carried the hand luggage,we went to the car and opened one of the sandals with nail cutter.

HMMMMMMMM WE SAW PASSPORT,BRITISH PASSPORT THE OLUWOLE TYPE.BLOOD OF JESUS WE OPENED ANOTHER SANDAL SAW NAIJA PASSPORT WITH UK INDEFINITE STAY.MY GOD ALL THE SANDALS HAD ONE PASSPORT IN THEM.DIFFERENT COUNTRY PASSPORT O.AIYE OOOOO I ALMOST FAINTED.

people be careful what you collect from other people, they always bring it when you are rushing to leave so there will be no time to check, imagine if i didnt repack my stuff as the 20 sandals were actually in the big box i checked in before i removed them on the road to the airport.Sigh this happened on November 28,2006 almost 8years still fresh in my memory, feels like yesterday.I will never forget
