Indonesia Executes 4 Nigerians And 4 Others

These four Nigerian men alongside four other men were killed today in Indonesia for trafficking drugs into the Country.

They were driven to a remote area and the life snuffed out of them....Oh I dont want to go into the details that you know already...

Martin Anderson was arrested in 2003 and killed on April 29,2015.

Okwudili was arrested in 2001 and killed on April 29,2015

Jamiu was convicted in 1999 and sentenced to life in prison, which was reduced to 20 years on appeal. State prosecutors however challenged the sentence reduction before the Indonesian Supreme Court, and in 2006,  Abashin's 20 Years sentence was changed to a death sentence.
He was executed on April 29,2015.

Silvester was arrested in 2001 and executed on April 29,2015.
He is survived by His Indonesian wife Fatimah and two Children aged 5 and 3.

RIP to them and may God give their families the strength to carry on.

    4. You're still playing the tribal card despite all the sadness that surrounds this post.
Such irreverent and banal talk in the face of all this!

Beyond any tribe, they are Nigerians,
      Beyond the country, continent, race.
      they are humans...

      Saddening
      Upon all the pleas...

Didn't know they have been incarcerated for this long. Wasted their youth in prison.
Yet they still have to die?
      Drugs?
      Did they commit murder?
Even murder doesn't carry the death sentence these days, when it's not serial murder.

      God rest their souls.
      Now they are free.

  4. Unfortunately nigerians will still not learn their lessons infact many are even planing to smuggle drugs into these no drug zone countries. Dear smugglers please go to countries where u will be sentenced to highest 25years in prison if caught and not countries where u will be killed like chickens

    1. Am with you enigma dear, since one cannot stop these smugglers n as a matter of fact all criminals even with the provision of all they need, the only advice is to pls go to places that re alittle tolerante of your crime. This infor have spoilt my day bcause my head keep going around their last minutes bfore the execution n in my opinion no human should be made to go through such torture. RIP brethren n may ur family find closure amen.

    2. Must they even traffic drugs at all? Haba. Some people will never learn. Even spending 25 years of one's life in jail is a wasted life. U can't be useful to yourself, family or society at large after spending such a ridiculous amount of time behind bars.

Little wonder so many inmates who've been in jail for more than 10 years sometimes decide they are better off staying in jail than getting out, cos they are afraid of what will become of them thereafter. I won't forget a case of a man that was released from jail, but who later committed another crime on purpose just to be sent back to jail. He said he had a better life in there. Free food, healthy activities, and without worries of having to pay bills. Anyway this happened in the U.S though...

Drug traffickers should stop ooooo, they should stop the nonsense.

    2. True. Haaahaaahaaaa

They keep cooking themselves in pots
      Saying they're invisible.

      Keep getting caught.
      They never learn.

Sad that all over the world, Nigerians now head drug cartels.

And the painful part is, they kill each other for money, vengeance et all.

    1. Funny thing is, they didn't kill the actual criminals, they killed repentant souls. They must have sought penitence within themselves few years into their incarceration. This execution found them sober. Meanwhile the people who sent some of them are at home enjoying.

      OK bye

      Delete
    2. Repentance has nothing 2 do with d law na Sisi. They've been sentenced and somewhere along d line they repented so that's btw them and their God. Maybe if they were freed they would've gone back 2 their old ways. RIP! Wish more will b caught and condemned.

  23. I read this wit tears. Its heart breakin. Men in their prime losin their lives cos of drugs, poverty nd an unbendable legal system. I pray others learn frm their stories. lack can propel one into doin unspeakable things but in all things dn't lose hope cos 2moro will definitely b better.

  24. Yes, it is indeed sad that they were killed. I feel pity in the sense that they are human beings. The Okwudili guy has repented and turned from his ways. The last guy has a family he has left behind. Yes in this sense, it is sad no doubt.

But I want to say that I am glad that Indonesia is a country where the law works. How about the horrors that those drugs that people smuggle into the country do to the citizens of Indonesia?
It is clearly stated that you carry drugs into the country at your own peril. None of these men will say that they didn't know that the drugs were harmful. They hardened their hearts and did not care about the outcome just because they wanted quick money.

For God's sake, even the bible says that one must obey the leaders of a country and the laws of the land. Why should Indonesia let them go? If those people were pardoned, other people still planning to do the same thing will not learn.
Indonesian government has a duty first to protect it's citizens, that is their priority. Even God will not condemn the leaders for the decision to give them the death penalty.
Yes, let these people that have been killed serve as a deterrent for other people, Nigerians and people from other nations who will use their very wicked hearts to peddle drugs that will destroy other people's lives.
Let them be aware that Indonesia does not joke. I wish other countries will follow suit.
I wish Nigeria will follow suit. Enough of this "anything goes".

May God grant their families the fortitude to bear their loss, Amen.

    2. But who are those prosecutors that called for his sentence to be changed to death sentence?
      Haba.

I'm all for obeying the law but equity should prevail at times. They have served long terms. Blacklist them and send them back to their country prison.(i can't teach them their law, just human reasoning sha)

My point is, many prosecutors are over zealous. They can trade human life for just a chance of career advancement. Sometimes they give them targets (execution/ conviction targets), so many can sell their souls just to see people hang. The new young members of the dept will come in, get old files, review and see how to increase their sentence, review evidence, re investigate and come back with more witnesses.

    2. Ignorant tribalism ic fool, manage and live in the UK and see how your Yoruba brothers are the kingpins in every illegal activity. Drug dealing, 419, gun running. Visit the UK and US prisons and when it's a Nigerian the name must start with Femi and Olu. Nigerians involved in illegal activity see a disgrace irrespective of their tribe, but you better believe that where they reside largely your Yoruba brothers and sisters are actually commuting far, far more dreadful and disgraceful atrocities.

Wishful thinking but I hope this serves as a lesson to drug traffickers, there is more to life than peddling drugs and some countries have zero tolerance for them, hence using their law to effect punishment.
