Ladies, make sure u know the genotype of that man before wedding.
ReplyDeletePls permit me to rant here.
DeleteBoth women and men! AS AS is a no no! Am not iin support of checking fetal genotype at 3month and if it's SS u abort the pregnancy but if u must go ahead and marry then u av to be ready to go tru that choice.
Living with sickle cell as a mom and wife ain't easy. So much pains that sometimes u can't take care of ur baby or ur in and out of the hospital.
Am very grateful to God for life and familly,i know mom and dad were ignorant then but what excuse do present couples have???
Sickle cell has no cure, plenty complications and worse off pain to the person and family!
Sickle cell disease can be avoided!
God help all the sickle cell worriors in this battle,Amen
Nice
Delete@anon thanks for the information, and may God continue to be with you. God bless

ReplyDeleteOK! Good
ReplyDeleteLadies once you start exchanging numbers with a guy, enquire about his genotype o because some of you can like to spread legs like eagles even at the sound of hello from a guy. Let's do the right thing please. God keep all the warriors and I hope in the near future matters like this would be a thing of the past

Now I feel sad remembering my childhood who died of Sickle Cell Anaemia at the age of 29 years. R.I.P, S.A.
ReplyDeleteAnd some people still open their eyes and carry dere two left legs into marriages with questionable genotypes all in d name of love.
ReplyDeleteThis sickle cell of a thing, is it still existing? With the level of civilization now, I feel it should be dead by now.

ReplyDeleteNice initiative..
ReplyDeleteLove shouldn't always be the basis for marriage..
Other factors like genotype has to be considered so as to avoid bringing innocent kids to the world just to suffer and then finally die with unfulfilled dreams and destiny..

An uncle n his wife has four kids. 2 boys n two girls. One girl and the two boys are SS. They went for test before marriage but people believe the wife and her lab tech friend manipulated the result because the man is very rich. Now,all their money is going towards keeping these kids alive. The wife,a teacher is the shadow of herself now,so also the husband.
ReplyDeleteAnd some pple no go still wan learn
DeleteSome foolish couples will still go ahead n marry, had it been I was born even AS' I would have hated my parents, who no like peace of mind? Abeg o! As an AA it's not even good to marry SS.
