IS THIS A SCAM OR NOT?

Hello Stella, please hide my ID o. After staying at home for soo long i

finally got a job with this Telesales company in Calabar, what we do majorly is to make phone calls to Americans telling them about a 30% reduction in the

DUKE/COMED/PGnE bill, (theses are all Electric and Gas Providers in

the United States) after which we will ask them to give us information

on their previous bill so that we can effect the discount on their

next bill. 

There is a Dialer that is installed into our system that

automatically call these people at random. Once they give us the

information on the old bill we will then hand them over to a verifier

agent and the verifier will take it from there. They asked us to speak

in a foreign accent and to make them believe we are actually calling

from The United States.

 We work from 12noon till 9pm for the morning

shift and from 9pm till 6am for the night shift, and Stella trust me

the Pay is very very ok. But what i don't understand is why i have to

make a phone call to someone to tell him or her about a discount rate,

if u want to give someone discount why not do it right away, i also

have to lie about my location and get information for a verifier that

i don't even know.

In as much as i love the pay, my conscience is very disturbed, i don't

want to be indirectly involved in an act that will scam innocent

people in anyway. Please is there any BV home or abroad that knows about

such? I need to know if am with the wrong guys, cos i won't hesitate

one sec to quit the job if its a scam. Thanks Stella
