South African billionaire Patrice Motsepe, is to be crowned the new president of Confederation of African Football (CAF) on Friday, March 12, 2021.
The 59-year-old Motsepe, a mining magnate, and one of the richest men in Africa was appointed as the new head of African football after a deal brokered by FIFA president Gianni Infantino.

This man will do well, my spirit tells me so. African football needs innovation.
