But like you, the day my husband fed our baby and realised how tasty it was he became the one feeding the child.

  2. Beloved of God, current events are turning negative, do not be preoccupied with it rather be focused on God's will for us.
His will is wiser than the desires of man (Ps.25:4-5).
May God overwhelm us with all forms of grace, that will make us have enough of every good thing (2 Cor.9:8).
May He answer our prayers at this critical period, that our joy may be full (John 16:24), in Jesus name πŸ™

  3. Don't Give Up On Them!!
    Galatians 6:1.

    Excerpts!!

"As Christians and soul winners, we should be concerned enough to know if anyone in our congregation has strayed away or fallen by the wayside. We’re never to give up on anyone. The Lord expects us to account for every soul."

"Soul winning must have accountability; we have to be accountable for the souls the Lord has given to us."

"So, today, call or visit that brother, sister, or family that you know hasn’t been coming to church. Share the love of Christ with them and keep interceding for them. When you win them back, the Bible says there’ll be great joy in heaven."

    Prayer!!

Lord, I pray that your grace and mercy locate everyone who’s been in the Church, but for some reason has strayed away. May their love for you be rekindled, birthing a fresh appetite for your Word and the things of the Spirit. I pray that as Christ is formed in them, they’d be deeply rooted and grounded in faith and in your love, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

    Ephesians 3:14-19; Galatians 6:1; Luke 15:8-11.

  4. Still struggling to believe that, in a time and century as this, supposed graduates still don't know or should I say, deficit in knowledge what tradition truly means.

Why do you all think and have this mindset whenever tradition is being mentioned, it must have a thing to do with witchcraft, juju, occultism or even diabolic practice. Why Why Why????
Yet you guys will gladly celebrate your traditional marriages with pride.

Why don't you skip traditional marriage and do just the white wedding or you don't know Bride Price is a traditional act itself?

    Do Whites pay Bride Price?

You break kola nut in a gathering and sometimes even in a Christian occasions such as wedding and you call the son of the soil to say some prayers in a native language, yet you don't believe in tradition.

Do you see how we are almost been lost as a people, our identity & heritage at the verge of extinction.

I bet, you Christians don't even know circumcision is a traditional practice older than Christianity itself. Why didn't your Christianity rule it out? Why did you embrace it?

If this isn't hypocrisy, I don't know what it is. Do you know about the traditional rites involve in your traditional marriage?

Some of you claim Christians but killed cows during the burial of your parents and shared the meats among your kindred.

Do you know a widow mourning her husband is a traditional practice as well? Some window's mourning period could be six months, nine month or even 12months.

Should I also talk about the four market days you acknowledge in your villages that's sacrosanct to your customs and belief as a people?

    Should I go on?

Do you know if Africa had colonized the Europeans and Americans, by now they would have been practicing our tradition and religion?

Why do you feel your tradition is inferior to what the white man gave you.

Do you know our tradition is as older than the Christianity the white man brought to you?

Before Christianity came to Africa, haven't we be living life very well and successfully? Which God have we been praying to and worshipping all those years that gave bumper harvest to us in our farm produce? Or where there no God then?

I saw someone boldly wrote yesterday that tradition is Satanism. WOW!!! Just WOW!!?

    Imagine the audacity

Let me say this to you now.

Tradition worship and practice is a religion on its own same way you have Islamic and Christian religion.

You believe it's satanic, yet your country pridefully acknowledges it as one among her religions. Maybe Nigeria is Satan itself.

Will you now call the Israelites Satanist cos they are Jews practicing Judaism or the Hindu's worshippers Satanist?

Why do you feel and think cos you're a 'Christian' you're entitled to heaven and every other person will go to hell?

Just like Christianity, the same way we have criminals parading as ministers is the same way we have bad element in the traditional aspect of our religion denting our culture and value system.

Cultism isn't our tradition, it was imported from the same people who gave you Christianity. So also is ritual and shouldn't be equated as tradition. Our forefathers weren't into cultism or human rituals for wealth neither were they into diabolical practices.

They lived happily and in harmony, communing with their God who gave them bountiful harvest all season.

There are ailment I've seen defies science and doctors would recommend native practice and treatment on the patient. What then is NATIVE?

    Let me shock you now.

Some years ago before my neighbor's elder sister passed on, they were told by her pastor to take her home to be cured traditionally.

This is a pastor who had fasted, prayed and anointed her for months. When solution wasn't forth coming, he opened up to them that this is beyond prayer but she should be taken to her ancestral home for help.

Eventually, they didn't make it in good time. She died before they could get home.

First of all, ask urself, will you be proud to tell people how you got this solution?
Besides, all this solution's centers are being controlled by demons and satanic worship, of which you may not be aware of it. If you know what they do in their secret altars, you will not give a listening πŸ‘‚to their talk.

    7. Anon 08:38,

Before God instructed it, were there a thing like Christianity? So the things our forefathers did, you believe they weren't communicating with God as well , yet they were praying then?

      @Zaram,

You still don't get it. Is everyone a Christian to you? Will you quote a Bible to an Islam or traditionalist?

When that same Bible you quoted said, ''I saw people from different race and tribe before the great white throne judgment'' Why didn't it specificed 'Christians' alone?

Before Christianity came to Africa, who and what were we?

      Delete
    8. ZARAM, when reading a bible verse, please try as much as possible to read from verse 1 to the end, it will help you to understand that chapter very well. Don't just read one or few verse.

That verse you quoted has nothing to do with what TeeJay is saying.
That's the vision of Isaiah to the people or Judah, telling them to repent or face the destruction he saw in his vision.

TeeJay on the other hand is condemning a comment that says tradition is satanism.

Does that statement even make sense to whoever that said that nonsense.
If tradition is satanism, then the white man tradition you do is also satanism because all are traditions irrespective of the continent or religion.

Before the white man brought their tradition, we Africans had our own tradition. Like I asked one person, if Christianity is the only ticket to heaven, what will happen to our forefathers that died before white men brought their own tradition to us.

See, as a Christian, please respect other people's religion because if you were born into another religion home, you will not even agree that Christianity is a true religion. This I also tell people from other religion.

Remember that even Christ is not a Christian and never practised Christianity.

I hate some of the Igbo traditions, but that doesn't mean I will condemn the good ones or call tradition satanism. .
Some of the traditions need amendment.

  5. Beautiful morning people of SDK ville. I trust we woke up hale & hearty. Y'all remember that my neighbour who fought his live-in lover on valentine's day? Hnmmm, there was a promax of their fight on Sunday afternoon (two days ago). This time around, hubby and I almost got stabbed by the guy when he attempted stabbing the lady and we tried to stop him.

On that afternoon, we heard the lady screaming and calling for help. So we decided to go & find out what was happening because none of our neighbours was interested in interfering in their fights again as it has become a regular thing, even after our landlord gave them serious warning after the valentine's day fight. Thankfully, their sitting room door was open when we got there, so we were able to gain entrance, only to discover that they locked themselves inside their room. Hubby tried as much as he could to force the door open. Behold, the guy had stripped the lady naked, with a broken bottle in his hand trying to stab her. We had to raise alarm to alert other neighbours who didn't want to show up initially.

Had we not arrived their apartment early enough, it would have been a different story by now. What caused the fight? According to the lady, the guy called her a dirty woman whose private part smells. Then she also called him a dirty young man who f*cks a dirty woman whose private part smells. This got the guy infuriated & fight started. To cut the long story short, the lady has finally packed out yesterday evening.

  10. When my elder brother was poisoned shortly after I lost my Dad, the doctor whom he met told him, ''I hope you haven't taking any drugs?'' He said not at all. He said good and immediately told him to rush and follow it traditionally, that if he had taken drugs, he would have been dead.

The medicine would have killed him speedily. Those who killed my father, put a poison at the entrance of our house at the village, hoping my mom would be the one to match on it. All they wanted was to say barely one month my Dad passed away, his wife had joined him.

If they had succeeded, they will paint the picture that my mother killed her husband my father, the reason he took her.

Unfortunately, my elder brother matched on it. Few minutes later, his right leg started scratching him. He kept scratching it and the more he did, the leg kept swollen. He couldn't walked anymore. He immediately called my elder sister and told her what was happening to him. My elder sister shouted seeing how swollen his leg had become all of a sudden.

She ran to where my father was buried, in tears and cried, '' npa, Γ© ga nwu nwu'cha anya'' (Father, will you die and close your eyes to what is happening to your children)

Immediately she called her husband and the husband told my brother the same thing not to take any drugs but leave the village immediately and come to Asaba. It was in Asaba he was treated traditionally with palm oil and some native things done.

The concoction was rubbed in his leg and immediately that was done, there was heat in that leg.

Before evening of that same day, it healed totally.

The Medicine man looked at him, shook his head and told him if he had stayed more one day, the poison would have spread across his body and killed him. He told him not to worry, that the persons who connived and did that to our family won't leave long. He said he won't tell him their names or who they are but only revealed the manner they will die.

Exactly one year Dad was laid to rest, we lost an uncle, my father's younger brother. The next year again making it exactly two years, we lost another uncle the elder brother. After then, none has died again. The manner in which he said they will die was exactly how it happened. The picture became clearer to us.

I wish I can share other true life stories but I will stop here for now.

Some people won't have died miserably or going through difficulties if they had gone back to their roots and ancestral home to seek solution to their problems but Christianity has painted tradition as evil cos your pastors want to be miking your wealth out from you.

  11. BE FAITHFUL TO GOD AT WORK

'Working for the Lord.' Colossians 3:23 NIV

If you were in charge of hiring people at work, what would you look for? Skill, dedication, punctuality, reliability, patience, kindness and consistency? Jesus said, 'Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much' (Luke 16:10 NIV). Life mostly consists of little things, so if you're unfaithful in little things, you will be unfaithful in most of life. Do you possess a 'guilt pile' at work? It's that little stack of items you haven't got around to yet. Faithfulness includes how you handle it. It may not matter much to you that someone sent you an email or letter, but that person anticipates an answer. Their world may be counting on it.

How do you manage the little things in life? Jesus said, 'If you have not been trustworthy with someone else's property, who will give you property of your own' (Luke 16:12 NIV)? Question: If you owned the business you work for, would you be taking all those extra coffee breaks? Would you buy the rental car you just abused for a week? How you handle the things that are not yours is a test of faithfulness to God. See how sensible this is?

Faithfulness is important in all areas of life. God says you will be rewarded for your faithfulness, so do your best at work. 'Work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters' (Colossians 3:23 NIV). As a follower of Jesus, you should have a reputation for being the most dependable person on the job. Why? Because you're aware of who your true boss is!

  20. I wanted to wait till Wednesday for woman crush 'whatever' but couldn't.This woman called Funke Akindele needs to be celebrated every day.Her resilience needs to be studied. Here is a woman who isn't afraid of failing and that is a great virtue. I have followed her from the days of I need to know and she keeps waxing stronger inspite of all life has thrown at her, never giving up but always striving to move ahead, giving her best in everything, letting go of the past and focusing on the future. Funke you are indeed a heroine,a worthy role model for women and youth out there. I celebrate you ma'am.May the lord bless and keep you.

To those that say “go back and develop your state” the last time I checked, our roads weren’t so bad, and we have about the same power supply the rest of Nigeria has… what we need is an international airport and seaports to run our various businesses in peace, (I know how many proposals have been written to this effect) but No! Your politicians will never let this happen so that they keep us where we are and then use tribalism against us when it’s time to vote again, and before you say it’s our governors… we need the federal approval not the state.

We dint vote obi cus he is Igbo, plus he was voted by every single tribe cus it’s never about the tribe but the party, if Makinde comes out tomorrow for presidency, I’ll be first in line to vote for him, cus it’s all about competency, health and track records. I was at a whole national hospital yesterday and the level of brain drain going on in the country is terrible. So if you think you are doing me by supporting incompetency… sorry for you, cus just pray your loved one doesn’t get sick cus it’s really a mess. A nurse died because of the pressure of handling over 30 patients a day and you think our essential workers won’t keep leaving. Just keep praying for good health.

Some people even have the audacity to name places they will take over if igbos leave their lands (yet you say you are not evil) do you think ebeano has his supermarket cus he is in lagos, it takes knowledge and the grace of God to be that successful. So I ask again why are you so intimidated by the Igbo man? You won’t, let them vote, you won’t let them go, you won’t let them trade in peace and you won’t give them what they need (international airport and seaports) and you say you are no the devil.

An average Igbo man doesn’t care for politics, as long as he can trade in peace and favor, he is okay … and do not throw the “it’s because igbos are not United” honey if you read Achebes “there was a country” you’d understand that our individuality is the reason for our success, we do not believe our success depends on another man but God, however we still practice apprenticeship and upliftment which helps us grow as a unit.

To those that say “people were killed because they said lagos is no man’s land”honey, you are evil and you are just like a rapist who blames people for dressing a certain way, and for you to support this act means that you were always evil and tribalistic and was just looking for an avenue to unleash it. The hate is in you and that’s the hate you give… you can only give what you have.

  31. Good morning everyone. I love good books, just as much as I love good movies. I usually prefer books or movies with dry humour. You know, the kind where the humour is subtle and not in your face, which is why my all time favourites sitcom is "The Office"

One of my favourite authors is Jilly Cooper and she wrote "Riders",which gave birth to other books like "Rivals" and "Polo". I also like Kevin Kwan, the author of "Crazy Rich Asians". I couldn't stomach the movie because it wasn't as interesting as the book. I have also read the series of books he wrote after that first one, including "China Rich Girlfriend" and "Rich People Problems".

So please can anyone suggest authors in the class of Jilly Cooper and Kevin Kwan? Authors that know how to use dry humour in their books?

  32. Stella good morning,
Hope the weather over there is kinder to you today. I have always been here anonymously that is 😁. But enjoy your contents, but please what is it with the drama on yesterday's IHN from the comment page... 😁. Please let's go easy on ourselves.

I was excited at the single and mingles admonition from yesterday's poster. My sister was also a success story of the series, I have asked her and her husband to try and share there own story too. So people can learn a few things too. I actually posted for her in that edition of the series, sadly non of the men who contacted her connected with her. It was from the few she picked from the post that she scaled with and today they are happily married. I have my own story too, not connected to single and mingle. I posted something here late last year, about breaking up with girlfriend and proposing to my friend. Well we got married some weeks ago to the glory of God. Reading the comments of that day, many were wondering what happened. I will try and post the story here some day soon. There's always a lesson in every story, we don't have to let our judgements mislead us from it.

Abeg, make I leave am like this english too hard. To everyone in the comment section, sip easy.
