Former Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State has said the second term of former President Olusegun Obasanjo was the most successful in terms of economic growth, job creation, and inflation rate in Nigeria. In an interview in South Africa, El-Rufai, who served as a minister under Obasanjo, said Nigeria, the most populous African country, experienced economic prosperity during his second term extending from 2003 till 2007.

Eyiboh, in a statement in Abuja, said contrary to the sponsored news report in some sections of the media that some unnamed Senators were allegedly plotting to impeach Akpabio, the Senate under Akpabio is stable and unperturbed.

. An Ondo State Chief Magistrate Court sitting in Akure has ordered the remand of a man, Sunday Clement, in prison custody for allegedly killing and beheading a farmer, Taye Alatoye. The 24-year-old labourer was arrested by men of the state police command and arraigned on a one-count charge of murder.
