There seems to be no end to the crisis rocking the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, as the new leadership under Dr Agbo Gilbert Major has asked former leaders of the party to urgently account for over N1biliion raised from the sale of nomination and expression of interest forms, during the 2023 Presidential and general election. I hope they won't say crocodile came out from water to swallow the money from the party bank accounts.
ReplyDeleteGen gen!!!
ReplyDeleteSince the inception of party politics, at least in this fourth republic, everyone knows that the money paid to the party disappears before the bank can get it. It's the reason why even the PDP has not been able to build a secretariat despite the billions raised during OBJ's time. You see money paid to the party coffers, It's for the boys and that is why they fight tooth and nail for these positions. Both the official sales and unofficial bribes are immediately shared and pocketed. The party is then left broke and open to control from money bags, mostly governors.
ReplyDeleteIt's the same problem in PDP, APC, LP, and all other parties. No body's parent is leaving home and risking their lives at rallies for a greater Nigeria so don't expect these guys to.
Kwakwanso is simply consolidating power. His boys who are incoming will also clean house.
