About 20 suspects are in the custody of the Department of State Services and the Nigerian Police Force, in Abuja for hacking the 2025 Computer-based test examinations conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board. The suspects are part of a syndicate believed to have over 100 persons, who specialise in hacking the computer servers of examination bodies like JAMB and the National Examinations Council.

National secretariat of the Peoples Democratic Party in Abuja and 4793 other properties revoked by the Federal Capital Territory Administration in March 2025 will be sealed on Monday, Federal Capital Territory minister, Nyesom Wike, has said. The FCT Minister’s Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media, Lere Olayinka, Director of Land Administration, Chijioke Nwankwoeze and Director Department of Development Control, Mukhtar Galadima, disclosed this.

 The Kaduna State Police Command has arrested a housewife, Zaliha Shuaibu, for allegedly killing her co-wife’s three-month-old baby by feeding him acid in Malari village, located in the Soba Local Government Area of the state. The disturbing incident occurred on May 13, 2025, inside the family compound shared by the suspect, her husband, and the baby’s mother, Maryam Ibrahim.

 The governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress in the November 8, 2025 Anambra State governorship election, Patrick Obianyo, has resigned from the position, citing the burden of the aspiration as the reason. He resigned as the party’s governorship candidate and handed it over to a former Labour Party governorship aspirant, John Nwosu, to continue the November 8 governorship race.

The Federal Government has said that defection to the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, would not stop it from pursuing corruption cases against governors and other political office holders.

This was contained in a statement by the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Prince Lateef Fagbemi, SAN.

Fagbemi said the President Bola Tinubu’s administration would continue to uphold the rule of law and would not falter in the fight against corruption, no matter whose ox is gored.
