Two friends who happened to be OS (If you dont gerit, forgerit). Lets call them Toyin and Happy. Happy is a single mother of one while Toyin is a single mother of two.
One day, Toyin introduced Happy to a man who happens to be a single father. When they started chopping each other, the man fell in love and began to seek after happy's hand in marriage without Toyin's consent.

They both fell in love and the man gave her a 3 bedroom apartment to stay and bought her a small car. When Toyin heard this, she was acting like, she was happy but Happy never knew she was jealous.
The man traveled out of the country and till this moment he is not yet back, but he speaks to Happy regularly and sends her everything she needs. But foolish her, she keeps going for ST(short time) or overnight depending on whichever comes.

Whatever happens during the process, she keeps telling Toyin thinking she was telling a good friend, she never knew Toyin keeps sending to her man to let him know Happy is not good enough for him.
This issue went on for long without her knowing and the man himself didn't tell her how those infos get to him. This lady in question has been sent packing and the car was retrieved from her.
I think she later got info that, it was her friend who was the whistle blower and she came to her shop. Both fought so bad and naked themselves. I was so ashamed of them..
It was when we separated them we began to hear what really transpired and i asked myself.Why? Why would she destroy her friends life? Is it jealousy or what? And also, why would someone continue to do trash after meeting a man who loves you, gives you shelter and provide everything needed? Does it mean some women can never change even after showing them love?

ReplyDeleteDon't be confused. Some people can't change bad habbits. Is just like someone who's cheating before getting married. Do you think the person will stop? I don't think so.
ReplyDeleteWhen they say; life has a way of staging theatre where trust and betrayal share the same dressing room. This mess is a good example of such. A tale that drips with betrayal like palm oil on freshly laundered white - impossible to ignore. Toyin didn’t just sip envy, she bathed in it. An envy that wore a mask of sisterhood while her heart sharpened knives that cloaked her poison in the guise of friendship, and struck when the fruit was ripe.
ReplyDeleteBut Happy too, who was handed a chance many crave - love, shelter, care and kindness - yet she danced back into the fire she was pulled from. By letting her recklessness ruin a table already set for her. Old habits? They cling like stubborn stains; a heart not healed will keep reaching for chaos, no matter how much comfort is offered - it’s a symptom of a deeper emptiness, a hunger untouched by material gifts. Trust, when misplaced, becomes the weapon used against us.
I learnt quite early in life to often check the company I keep before life strips me bare in public. The lesson here is that loyalty isn't proved by laughter or late-night gist - it shows up in silence, in how your name is spoken when you’re not in the room. Choose your confidants with holy reverence. Not every hand that feeds you is kind, and not every heart that receives love knows what to do with it. Some habits need more than love - they need deliverance.
A pig will always remain a pig no matter where you take that pig to. She didn't chnage cos she was never satisfied with what she has or where she was. She has learnt in a very hard way.
ReplyDeleteI'm not justifying her friend's action but what Happy did was very wrong, why going back to bad habits when you've been blessed with a good man, I have no pity for her, in fact, I'm very happy for the man for dodging a big bullet.
ReplyDeleteIt takes the grace of God for an OS to leave their old ways even when some of them are married. Both Toyin and Happy deserves each other.
