Following Simon’s deportation to Nigeria, the Real housewives of Atlanta star appeared virtually in court alongside her ex-husband where a judge ruled in her favor.
The court enforced the couple’s prenuptial agreement, awarding Porsha $40,000 per month in alimony for the next 14 to 15 months.
Simon is also required to cover her legal fees and hand over the Rolls-Royce he gifted her.
Regarding the couple’s $7 million house which was initially Simon’s pre-marital property, Porsha has until 2027 to decide if she wants to remain in the house or sell it. She chooses to stay; she must refinance the property and buy out Simon’s 50% equity share. In the meantime, Simon will continue covering the home’s expenses including mortgage payment.
The June 11 court lasted nearly ten hours with no direct interaction between the former couple. By the end of the day, Simon reportedly left upset and is now considering an appeal. He has 30 days to challenge the ruling.
Porsha filed for divorce in February 2024 just 15 months after their wedding

ReplyDeleteShe really dealt with him. If to say she born for am e for somehow better na. Ha! This is too much for him.
Born what?
DeleteChild support will be on top
What did she deal with him as? He wrote exam, this is the result. Coddling men from facing consequences is the male idolatry practiced in Nigeria
The interesting thing about some of these news is that it exposes the actual gaps and fallacies in traditional belief systems and superstitions. People like Israel Dmw think they can curse their ex-wife’s future husbands and a Nigerian woman in her situation may have backed down from going to court or having a judgement like this enforced for fear of his village people or voodoo. Those village people cannot do anything against a judgement like this. Guobadia and his friends would have threatened to deal with a naija woman… (not saying he is that type) if this were a Nigerian woman. Ex-in-laws may resort to unconventional means. Same way those powers are ineffective against Fulani farm raiders but useful in rendering another man useless out of envy and jealousy?
ReplyDeleteI don’t like anyone equalizing our traditional religious practices to Christianity and inferiority complex/brainwashing by the west. Our religion is simply evil in its practice, localized in its application and is widely known to have no good resulting from its practice. Just another angle to look at this story from. Fear of the patriarchy in Nigeria keeps the control of women in place and enables the mistreatment of women in bad marriages, women in the west aren’t bound by such so work to make your marriage successful or be ready to play fair with your woman in assets division at least in the west.
