I'm that harsh culture she will have none to confide in. This man is the first to show her decency but of course expected a reward.
I believe if ahe had someone to truly talk too in a place more enlightened than that dog it dog village, she wouldn't have made the mistake.

Truthfully, you should not be speaking about your daughter at all, neither in private nor public to family, friends or outsiders. You should be looking to relocate somewhere and starting your life over quietly. Even getting out of Nigeria. You need focus not distraction. Greater that you have been disgraced and they have lived through it and life goes on. Stop all the public talking and focus on your moving forward and beyond this. You better get focused and move forward with your life. Yes, that may mean dropping everything and everyone behind and starting fresh.
This is why having formal education or a skilled trade and being in the workforce is important, the day may come when one has to move far from home, change their name and start over.
