The Lagos-based actress in a lengthy post on Thursday, explained that she was invited to the National Cybercrime Centre in Abuja for calling out some individuals over their alleged involvement in singer Mohbad’s death.
“I was recently invited by the Nigeria Police Force, National Cybercrime Centre, Abuja, over petitions bordering on cyberbullying & other allegations concerning the live video I recorded a few years ago.
“In that video, I requested certain individuals to make themselves available for investigation into Mohbad’s sudden death in order to prove their innocence or otherwise,” she said.
This is coming four months after the court acquitted Sam Larry and Naira Marley of complicity in singer Mohbad’s death.
DAILY POST recalls that Mohbad died in September 2023 in highly controversial circumstances. His death sparked controversy after videos of how he was previously bullied by his former record label boss, Naira Marley and his associate, Sam Larry, surfaced.
The development made the public to point accusing fingers to Sam Larry and Naira Marley – with Iyabo Ojo championing the calls for justice for the deceased.
Following sustained pressure from the public, the duo were arrested in October 2023.
In December 2023, Naira Marley demanded a public apology and N500 million damages from Iyabo Ojo.
The actress responded to Naira Marley with N1 billion lawsuit.

DeleteIt is well. There were controversies surrounding his death so I see no reason why anybody wouldn't make themselves available for scrutiny if they know that they are innocent. If it required his biological relatives to be scrutinized, they should make themselves available if they are really concerned about finding out the cause of his death. Even the wife shouldn't feel too important to be scrutinized concerning what led to his death. If for any reason you got pointed at as someone who should be traced to see if you have a link to what led to his death, make yourself available for the investigation. It's not a difficult thing to do. If Wunmi had done the DNA initially, the investigation wouldn't have taken this long. The DNA would have been a perfect starting point for the investigation. She was asked to conduct the test because of the controversies surrounding her and Sam Larry who was also accused of not being nice with Mobahd when he was alife .

ReplyDeleteAll I know is that Justice is faaaaaaar fetched when u are in Law Court or Poliice related case, most especially, if u are NOT strongly alligned with pple in power. D authorities concerned will see & know d truth but must end up twisting d case to favor their object of interest.Before our very own eyes, Naira Marley, who was scandalously in court for “d r u g “ related issue, was made an Ambassador of NDLEA? Same Naira is involved with MoBad? Haba, even if d case lingers till eternity, nothing will happen to him & his co-traveler bcoz they know d truth but their vested interest must be compromised . Ds is Naija for u. Quite unfortunate that Iyabo meant well but looks like they want to twist d verdict to favor their interest.
