Why let a man hear what should be between you and God alone? And why do Catholics pray to God through Mary the mother of Jesus? Why beg her to intercede when the Bible clearly state otherwise?
Lets gist!

Now assuming I'm a Catholic and one day I decided to go for confession on how myself and his sis dey play " rough play"( he often sees me with his younger sister)
Will he take things likely with me and bless or him 👂 ears will make winnnnnnnnnnnnnññnn?
As a Catholic, you can go to confession in any parish of your choice. It mustn't be in your parish. So that isn't an excuse.

Christ has given power to his disciples to forgive sins .When he breathes upon them saying whose sins you forgive are forgiven. The sacrament of reconciliation.
DeleteThe priests are an extension of the disciples. Now,he do not forgive by his power. He prays that God forgives you,he's acting in person of Christ. Without the confessional stole, anointed for the sacrament,he's not to listen. But he's bound by oath to never disclose what was confessed .
Ordinarily, there's a box.si we don't see each other, just as God does not see your sin but your repentance.
As for mMary,we don't worship her. We respect her as the mother of God,just like we respect our mothers.
Remember when growing up and you have to go through your mun to tell your dad something?Same applies.
We pray to God through Christ and still ask her to help us remind her son.
It's called the faith. Some things may never make sense to others when it comes down to faith.
OGA it's lightly not likely
DeleteEverything is a joke to this crackhead jerrycurl
DeleteI so much love the Catholic people... I once worked with a state Bishop,, they are well dedicated to the practice
DeleteBut I will only confess to God...
DeleteAs Catholics, we don't worship Mary rather we honour her as the mother of Jesus Christ. That's one misconception people hold that we worship Mary. Using a status of Mary or praying for her intercession is nothing wrong. I will explain better.
ReplyDeleteLet's come home. As human, there are times you'd want something from a big man but the possibility of succeeding might not be there to even meet with the man. Going through the big man's mother will automatically pave way for you, knowing that no man would want to turn down a request from his own mother.
At the wedding feast at Canaan, we saw Mary's intercession on her son Jesus Christ when they ran out of wine. The Bible recorded that was the first miracle performed by Jesus Christ. Mary was the woman who initiated that miracle even when the time hasn't come for Jesus to start performing. If Mary can intercede for the groom and bride while on earth, why won't she do same for us today now she's in a better place in heaven.
Lastly, on the confession aspect, Jesus Christ breathed on the Apostle in John 20:22-23 giving them the power to forgive sins. ''If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you withhold forgiveness from any, it is withheld.”
The present day Priest represent the Apostle. So confessing to a pastor or a priest is biblical.

May I also add. In Luke 1:48 during the Announciation by Angel Gabriel, Mary declared, ''For he has been mindful of the humble state of his servant. From now on all generations will call me blessed'' All generations cut across all denominations and race.
DeleteOrdinarily one should understand that the womb that bore the saviour of the world won't be allowed to suffer corruption. This is the reason the church on every 15th of August, celebrate the Assumption of Mary into heaven. She's not just blessed but more also the mother of our saviour

Thanks for this explanation. Non catholics will not understand and will never want to.
DeleteNobody comes to the father except by mean that is what Jesus himself said so no need to involve any mortal either dead or alive in prayer or confession to God ,that is what is biblical as far as bible is corncern .Nothing more
ReplyDeleteTo God please 🙄🙄🙄
ReplyDeleteThe death and resurrection of Jesus has given us free access to the Father.
ReplyDeleteI don't have to confess to any man when God Himself has given me an access to Him.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteWe already have free access to God through Christ, there is no need for any other mediator. We become sons and daughters with authority given to us when we come to Christ Jesus
ReplyDeleteTherefore confess your sins to one another and pray for each other to be healed both physically and spiritually.James 5:16
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't mean we shouldn't confess our sins to man, but we must ensure whoever you are sharing with, wouldn't betray you but rather and counsel you, that's the major reason catholics are mandated to go speak to their spiritual head.
Catholics are trained to confess their sins to priests who are spiritual head of the church and are most likely to keep whatever shared with them a secret
I will confess to my maker.
ReplyDeleteIn all my life, the first time I appreciated the sacrament of confession is 1st April this year. I visited a friend of mine the previous day and he kissed me severally not like I have not kissed deeply before. When I got home I was so disturbed in my spirit that I couldn’t sleep. I prayed to God but still felt restless.Thank God the next day was public holiday so I ran to the church, saw a priest and told him I wanted to go for confession. The relief I felt afterwards was so fulfilling that it dawned on me I have never felt this way before. That was the day I felt proud being a catholic.
ReplyDeleteDo you know how many people that priest has kissed? Married women, single ladies?
DeleteI don’t care about that. In as some of your pastors have scandals trailing them, have it stopped you from going to church There are still a lot of good priests. So because some men treat women badly or vice versa, you decide not to get married or because your car got involved in an accident, you will stop driving it
