Pastor Enenche Warns That Loan Apps Are Agents Of The Devil

Loan App users, please step in here!!!

Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Dr. Paul Enenche, has raised an alarm against loan apps.
He warned Nigerians against patronizing online loan platforms, describing them as “agents of the devil in covenant with the spirit of debt”.

Speaking during Sunday’s service in Abuja, Enenche decried the rising cases of depression and suicide linked to the operations of loan apps across the country.

“Many people have been deceived by the promise of quick financial relief,” he said.
“But once they fall into the trap, they are subjected to harassment, intimidation, and embarrassment that sometimes push them into depression or even suicide.”

The cleric explained that victims are often overwhelmed with threats, automated calls, and messages after securing such loans.
“Some of these platforms even go as far as publishing defamatory statements and fake obituaries online to disgrace debtors,” he added.

Pastor Enenche stressed that Christians must resist the temptation of easy money, warning that such platforms were destructive.
“These things are demonic covenants with debt, and no child of God should have anything to do with them,” he declared.

His remarks come amid rising public outcry against the unethical practices of online loan providers in Nigeria, many of whom have been accused of breaching privacy rights and employing extreme measures to recover debts.

  8. It will be nice to see religious bodies offer non-interest personal loans to their committed members. That will really be a huge relief!

    1. It will be very good if they can do it instead of buying private jets and building auditoriums. Then they come out and lambast those who give relief to their members.

    2. A church in the US decided to do something like that. A modest church with a pastor of modest means. They used the collected offerings to help pay off debt, mortgages, helped with tuition for young students and took the entire congregation out of financial problems. It can be done! But like I said, that pastor was modest and did not appear to care about the luxuries of the world.

  9. Loan apps are not Devilish abeg. Nigerians just have this habit of borrowing and not repaying. I know some relatives that ran to loan apps for succour when they needed emergency funds and they repaid them as at when due. These relatives are not depressed or suicidal. They are fine. Just know the good apps among them that you can borrow from.

I agree, there's no month I haven't repaid loan this year and still have one coming up this month which should be the last one God helping me.The more I want to get out the more I'm drawn in debt. It's just and unending cycle for me..I borrow 100k to be repaid in two months and end up paying 70k each month.I'm left with nothing at the end of the day and the cycle continues.I'm tireeeeeed.

Wish I have the mind to do hookup or other illegal means of making money.Nothing to show for all my years of being a good girl or hardwork( from working for people to working for myself) .

    3. As long as you have faith as little as a mustard seed you can move mountains. Perhaps you are in the wrong business, need investors or such a business would thrive in a different city. I believe the government has a project to help small businesses, have you looked at using them? Have you considered getting a mentor? Use the rest of the year to go out and seek some advice and get info about the small business loans through the government.

May God guide you in the right direction. Being a good girl has no monetary reward, it’s just the inner peace that you get. 41 is far from old and as long as you are alive your story isn’t over. Start a new chapter, maybe you are just a late bloomer, maybe there are some corrections being made on you through the Divine so when you get to the next level you can handle it. God is love!

  17. Network providers borrow people data and airtime too. The problem isn't with loan apps but with people christians inclusive who refused to pay. I know someone who was oweing MTN. I intended sending airtime into the sim. She insisted I send it to another sim. She don't have any plans of paying. There are many of them like that. They accrue these debts and later discard the sim for another one. They are the problem, not the apps persay.

Inasmuch as I tell my audience never to find themselves in positions where they borrow data, I would never fault those who see this as a source of living. It is pure business that sometimes don't end well for them because people hardly pay debts and have little or no integrity when it comes to money.

  19. Let me give a lil story here...I know someone, she does business and a single mum of one. Some years back, she loaned money from the app,I was on my own jeje when I saw pictures(very terrible pictures of her looking malnourished and sickly)sent to my WhatsApp,they said she had xyz and as such she should be avoided at all cost. The next one came immediately that she loaned from them for some months now to take care of her health and she has refused to pay up.
I quickly sent a chat to the sender to desist sending me such, and what was my business with what went between them, after all I wasn't involved when they were doing their deal. They replied I was her friend, hence I should talk to her.Last last I told them I would sue them if they don't stop.
I called my friend, number was switched off.i sent her a text message that I needed to speak with her urgent.
She called me the next day and was weeping, she knew I had been contacted.I asked her what happened, because I know she was doing very well for her self,Her reply:She took the loan three months prior, she was meant to pay the following month but couldn't meet up.I asked her how much, she said about 280k,I asked what the loan was for,she said it was for a masters degree. Was the masters degree urgent I asked, she said no.Then why?she said she saw an opportunity and decided to go for it.Why didn't she pay up,she said things haven't been okay with her in terms of business, and she was hoping she would get it from her relations.
At that moment I spoke with her she was depressed, sick and was in the hospital. The loan had run into extra months and it kept increasing.
Please you guys should judge the above,I want to know if the loan app was demonic or she was go look for demon trouble.
I have so many stories of them, one borrowed to go buy the latest infinix phone then because a friend just bought it,time to pay up,wahala burst.
I am content with what I have...little be it or much.Make una correct any typo,I no sabi type long.
