Lover Girl's Narrative: Diary of an Unwritten Implosion (part 4)
The worst shocker I got was in 2020.I was still in my base, running a postgraduate program. COVID came knocking, and my default plan was to go back home. He called and said that wouldn’t make sense; I should rather come to his base. I agreed.
I was all set and was waiting for his signal. It never came. When I asked him, he said he had figured it wasn’t a good idea since he was in a high-risk city and an essential worker, so his chances of exposure were high.
Knowing the kind of person that he was, I knew he was lying, and there was another ecstasy elsewhere. “The truth often hides behind convenient excuses,” and his seemed crafted.
I wasn’t far from the truth because nearly a week after that, I got a Facebook request from Y. K., and it didn’t cost me an arm and a leg to know that she was the new catch and maybe the most desperate of them all.
I accepted the request. We got talking via Messenger, and she wasted no time in seeking my advice. She was in a relationship with a man whose description suited Wrecking Ball, and she wanted to know if he was legit or if she was wasting her time.
I gave her the best advice that I could and kept it cool, but I knew something was up. Y. K. thought I didn’t get the memo, so she went further to like all his posts on Facebook, from first to last, hoping that that would give me context.
I didn’t react.
She extended to comments using endearments, and that was when I decided to ask Wrecking Ball about her.
As usual, he flared up about me questioning and doubting him, and then came the malice. I was left in the dark. I went crazy.
“Betrayal cuts deepest when it wears familiar faces,” and mine was searing.
My correspondence with the lady turned bitter, and she launched her attacks.
Wrecking Ball had gone into malice mode as usual. The new girl was having a field day dragging me through the mud, but I couldn’t react because I was certain that was what she wanted, and I knew that would count against me.
I had seen too much shege to want to add another medal to my collection. I was insulted, attacked mentally, physically, spiritually, and otherwise. Luckily for me, lockdown was relaxed a bit, and I figured I needed to be home with family.
I sold off my properties and made the move to go back home ( I was at the final phase of my postgraduate programme and ASUU was on strike).
On the eve of when I was to leave, he called (miraculously, after not calling or picking up my calls for months). I picked up, and he asked if it was possible that we see. I stupidly travelled to his base the next day.
Tell me why I got to know that this lady slept in his house that night, and when she knew I was coming, she created a mess, seized the key to his house, and I was stuck outside for 7 hours. He apologized for the drama and all of that.
I forgave him because I saw that he looked stressed and was full of regrets. In my heart, I was happy that finally, this was the break that we needed, and that Wrecking Ball had learned the hard way. “Hope often blinds us to repeating patterns,” but was I right??? Stay with me!
What a wrecking ball!!!...Imagine the way he played you the silly lady had the guts to contact you? why do women do this to other women?
What a wrecking ball!!!...Imagine the way he played you the silly lady had the guts to contact you? why do women do this to other women?
I cant wait to read the next one..
I hope you all are reading what wrecking ball did? Some men will come and give him excuses...hisssssssss

NOTORIOUS FOR JESUS
PET NAME OR REAL NAME?
I have always found it amusing how many people call their husbands “Daddy (Temi).” Haha..
To me, it feels strange. I can never bring myself to do it. Instead, I call my husband by his real name or a pet name. Whoever came up with the idea of couples calling each other by their children’s titles, I honestly don’t know.
In my opinion, calling your spouse “Daddy” or “Mummy” feels archaic and old-fashioned. It sounds more like a parental duty or an older relative than a romantic bond. But a pet name? Ah, that is the 'Koko'. Smiles.
A pet name adds flavor, it makes the love tense, it deepens the intimacy, and it keeps the closeness alive.
I know some people don’t agree with me. Many believe that calling my husband by his real name is disrespectful, especially because he is much older than I am. They expect me to conform to tradition, to follow what everyone else is doing. But I don’t see respect in titles alone; I see it in action, in love, and in daily devotion.
When I call his name and he calls mine, it reminds me of the man I fell in love with, not just the father of my children. When I say his pet name, it softens the atmosphere and brings us closer. To me, that is love in its purest form.
What do you call your spouse? A pet name, a real name, or by the name of your children?
We call each other Honey but when we are pissed we revert to normal names....Hhahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahaha.

5 MATURITIES TO ATTAIN BEFORE MARRIAGE
1. Physical Maturity
You must attain this maturity before marriage. Physical maturity has to do with bodily maturity and development. Even in some countries, you will not be allowed to vote and do certain things until you reach a certain age. We frown at child marriage, why? Because those children are not mature for it.
So, take your time and grow. Be physically mature. Grow up, and allow your body to be fully developed.
2. Spiritual Maturity
You have heard before that the spiritual controls the physical, that's true. Marriage has its spiritual dimension. One of the reasons why most marriages fail is because they lack divine covering.
A godly and happy marriage is a threat to the devil, he does everything within his power to end such marriage. Don't be careless about your spiritual life. Be committed to it, give it attention, and be a true child of God. Be mature in spiritual matters. Don't be a baby. Be a student of the Bible, be prayerful, and have a relationship with God.
3. Emotional Maturity
I have read stories of how some men brutally beat, punched and stabbed and matched their wives to untimely death. I have also read how some women stabbed their husbands in their sleep to their death. I have read how some jealous partners pour acid on their partners. Most of all these incidents can be attributed to the inability to handle emotions.
Emotions can mar or make a marriage, it can make your marriage heaven or hell on earth, so you must learn how to manage them. Read books on emotional intelligence, anger management, attitude etc.
4. Mental Maturity
Our words and actions reveal the quality of our mental state. We talk or act, you are showing us whether you are a baby or an adult. How mature you are mentally will determine the quality of your decisions and choices.
So, it's important to be mature mentally because marriage will task you mentally, you will make choices and decisions that will either be toxic or healthy for your marriage. Read books, seek counselling, listen to tapes, expand your mental capacity, have mentors etc.
5. Financial Maturity
Financial maturity has to do with being financially free and independent, being able to take care of your bills without depending on others, being gainfully employed and empowered etc.
Marriage carries financial responsibilities, don't make mistakes about it. Even to get married you need money, to stay happily married, you need money. Money pays bills, not love. So, be financially mature. Learn a trade, learn a skill, and have a steady stream of income. Make sure you are employed before marriage. Make investments that can make you money even when you are not working.
Conclusively, in all you do make sure you are mature, physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, financially etc. Maturity is non-negotiable, non-transferable preparation you must attain if godly, healthy and successful marriage is your desire.

FOR ALL SISTERS ON #WCW
Dear Sisters,
Can I sit with you for a moment and speak to the part of your heart that has been bruised?
Hurt has a way of reshaping us if we let it. It sneaks in quietly, through betrayal, lies, rejection, or the sting of someone’s careless words, and whispers, “Protect yourself. Harden. Don’t ever let this happen again.”
And if we’re not careful, we start to armor up in ways that feel safe but slowly steal our softness. We tell ourselves, “I’ll treat them the way they treated me,” thinking that somehow payback will give us peace. But it never does. It only drains us, little by little, until the reflection in the mirror no longer looks like Christ, it looks like the pain.
Sister, please hear me: don’t become like those who hurt you.
Bitterness will beg for a place in your heart. Anger will try to rewrite your story. But the truth is this: the more you feed them, the less you resemble who God made you to be.
Forgiveness is not weakness, and it is not denial. It doesn’t erase the wound or make wrong things right. Forgiveness doesn’t even mean reconciliation is always possible. What it does mean is this: you refuse to let their actions define your spirit. You release the burden into God’s hands and trust Him to be your defender.
The call on your life is not to mirror their darkness, but to shine with His light. You were not created to trade insult for insult or evil for evil. You were created to rise above, to love differently, to walk in freedom no matter how others have treated you.
Sister, don’t let someone else’s brokenness break you. Don’t let their wounds turn you into a reflection of their pain. Guard your heart, not with walls that shut people out, but with a posture that keeps it soft, surrendered, and aligned with God.
The world will tell you revenge is strength. But heaven whispers that the greatest strength is refusing to lose yourself to the very thing that tried to wound you.
So today, I’m asking you: release it. Not because they deserve it, but because you deserve peace. Forgive, not to excuse them, but to free yourself. Lay it down, and let God heal the tender places.
Stay tender. Stay free. Stay true to who God called you to be.

The worst kind of people are:
ReplyDeleteEntitled people.
Ungrateful people.
Shameless people.
If you are unlucky you will encounter or know some persons who exhibit all three at onceπ€¦π½♂️
Always remember this if you come across such persons that setting high standards for yourself is self-confidence then actually Meeting them is self-respect.
Aptly written π

DeleteI read on yesterday spontaneous post of someone complaining of her sister in-law difficulties in walking as a result of child birth.
ReplyDeleteLet me share my story:
For seven months in my pregnancy journey I was leaping, doctor couldn't do anything except to prescribe analgesic which didn't work. I was told it's part of pregnancy that it will go after delivery. My dear, I couldn't raise my right leg on my day of delivery due to the severe pains.
I went for my six weeks post natal clinic and the doctor prescribed that insert tab for three days and analgesic ointment for massaging for two weeks, but as I speak to you no improvement at all, infact the pains is moving from one part of my leg to the other and currently on my buttock, I can't turn from the bed or walk without feeling intense pains.
So the doctor suggested if after using those medications and no improvement, I should go see an orthopedic doctor and also do a pelvic scan.
I'll advise you see another doctor and also endeavor to pray always because with God nothing shall be impossible.
Happy 28th wedding anniversary to big mama the blog prayer warrior

DeleteI've been having similar pains on my leg(waist?) for over three years. It moves from one leg to the other. I guess mine was due to sitting on the sewing machine for long hours.
I finally did a scan and was referred to an orthopedist. I avoid walking bare foot and bath with warm water no matter how hot the weather is. I haven't experienced it in recent times though, probably bcos I've not been working aggressively like I used to.
God is your healer in Jesus name π
DeleteThank you.
Mine is on my right hand.
DeleteI feel severe pains in my right hand especially at midnight till early hours of the morning.

Understand one thing:
ReplyDeleteYou can't change what has already happened.
You have to learn to stop victimizing yourself and let go. You have to free your mind from the weight of the past. Good or bad, your past experiences occurred to mature you, not to keep you stuck. Forgive yourself for them, accept what happened, and gracefully let go.
You have better things to be creating with your mind right now.
Isolation actually heals you, people don't understand that thou

Lover girl you really tolerated a lot cos what's all these?
Y'all enjoy the rest of the day
Watched Thin Line yesterday and I spotted some mistakes the screen writers could have avoided.
ReplyDeleteThe pastor came with his assistant to the hotel so where was the assistant when the pastor was as at the lounge having a drink sotey jezebel spiked his drink, sotey jezebel follow am enter his hotel room. So the PA miraculously disappeared???
If you know the workings of ministry, pastors are always with their PAs especially when outside of their church for ministration and when their spouses isn’t with them to avoid temptation and setups.
How can a popular pastor sit openly in a hotel lounge without your PA with a random woman and you left your drink to go receive a call?? Aren’t you sensitive to the Holy Spirit????
Secondly, the car the pastor arrived to the hotel with was the same car he drove to Annie(jezebel’s) house.
This shouldn’t be as the hotel is in another state of residence from the pastor’s.
Thirdly, did Annie also travel out of her state of residence to lodge in the hotel, because as shown in the movie, she lives in the same state as the pastor.
Please don’t even get me started on that wanna be Americana with abule egba laali he called tattoos π
These people should understand that people with brains are watching these movies o
PS: please and please Annie go back to that doctor and give him 10 hot slaps and then ask him to remove and rearrange that yansh for you.
Hahahahaha... You were really paying attention!
DeleteThe cinema movies are better, you see YouTube? Ahhh.. I've started wondering if directors can't correct their grammar. Sooo many errors!

Good afternoon everyone. It's a bright and beautiful day. Thank you Jesus. Divine direction πα» Lord.
ReplyDeleteSo them dump you, you come dey find replacement abi. No be for ABIONAH body, you hear ba. Lol. Stella, I already have my blog friend or maybe friends. I will not reveal them until I am ready to pay them to cook me a meal.
ReplyDeleteI am very hungry now but cannot order a meal cos of what that dispatch rider BV wrote about spitting in food just to punish the customers. I no do again. Even sealed snacks like chips, I no go buy.
My friend taught me one style of buying frozen food, especially when you want to buy like just one kilo or half. I wanted to buy one kilo of turkey and I first asked for half. I sent someone to help me buy the other half and seriously, when I put them together, they were more than the initial one kilo the seller brought out at first. Girls thinking deep.
Welcome IHNs.
What happened eventually? Did you receive the food or he took it away ?
DeleteDon't accept boo it's a trap.
DeleteLora, I didn't collect the food. When he called me at first, he said he had another person's order with him, so he won't come to my floor and that he will cancel the order. I said no problem. The app people called to ask why I cancelled and I explained exactly what happened and that the guy cancelled himself. I got a mail from the app that the order is cancelled and I then zeroed my mind. Minutes later, the guy called that he was on my floor, I told him order was already cancelled and that he should go. The real reason was the fear of whatever he may have done to the food. Make I no go wondjure becos of beans and plantain .
DeleteChoco, Allah na big trap. Very big one. Stella dey find who she go use do pepper body. Emi ko. Lol.
Even though there are healthier alternatives, i doubt naija people can do without good old rice o. I also love rice, but i make sure it doesn't feature more than 3ce at most in a week.
ReplyDelete@ NFJ, I don't even like people calling me mummy, except maybe children. How much more my husband. I remember it's one of the things i don't like when i started attending Redeemed church after marriage. I complained tire to those mamas not to call me mummy they refused, saying that's how it is in the church, hain.
@ Big mama, you're so beautiful ma'am. Keep enjoying the grace of God.
Enjoy the rest of the day people.
Thank you blessed k

DeleteI love rice very much, especially when I have the strength to parboil it. I prefer to eat my rice with Egusi soup made with bitter leaf, not ugwu. That type of Egusi soup where you roast the Egusi before grinding. Aby baby loves food.
ReplyDeleteI love rice and I can eat it everyday.
ReplyDeleteMay God continue to bless your marriage big mama, you are beautiful π₯°

ReplyDeleteChildren and rice are like 5 &6, I love eating rice too but not daily.
ReplyDelete@weird facts 1 & 2 are great, I now see reason why my model niece usually sleep very late at night.
So wonderful to put a beautuful face to the name, BIG MAMA.
Hello fam.
Thank you God's favor.
DeleteWrecking ball is not a simp.
ReplyDeleteStella sincerely I am tired of riceπ©. Even my youngest son if I give him to school, he would barely touch the food. But it's one of the most affordable food in the country.
ReplyDeleteBig mama looking so beautiful π
I'm also tired of rice but it is the most affordable and cheap food for breakfast. I manage to cook other cheap foods like yam, potatoes, beans, plantain, etc like twice a week for breakfast. Rice for the remaining five days.
DeleteThank you justyswt
DeleteI call my husband by his pet name, guess what? Our children also call him that. My son calls him , "Baby"..
ReplyDeleteIn my head, I'm like " Who is the baby here now ".? I point to my son and say, "You are two years, you are the baby not him" duuuhhhhπ€ͺπ
BIG MAMA!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou're so beautiful. Happy wedding anniversary to you and yours. May God's countenance continue to shine in your home.

DeleteMy stupid sister got married and had four kids in five years of marriage, no job or business as she keeps getting pregnant every other year, she would be breastfeeding one and another pregnancy has entered.
ReplyDeleteHer equally stupid husband too could not use his brain. Now his business which was the only source of livelihood is not doing well and they kept disturbing me for money . Me that I'm managing with my husband.
I have just two kids only, aged 10 and 7, does my womb have issues? I learned a skill and developed myself in marriage even though I'm a graduate. But as a good job did not come after I relocated to join my husband, I developed myself instead of having kids anyhow.
The stupid husband , I told him to use his car for transportation so that his family can feed , he refused, he said his car cannot do such job, it is not strong enough.. Ok, collect taxi or Keke maruwa and use for transportation and deliver money to the owner, take the rest and feed at least he refused. Which job do you want to go and do now in that dry civil servant State that will be enough to feed your family, mumu man, keep begging for money. Hunger has not hammar you all. I only pity the innocent children especially the baby that is still breastfeeding.
My own hubby can even ride okada if it comes to hustling for food for this family. He doesn't like seeing his family hungry and he doesn't like begging.. mtcheeeerw
look at how you refer to your sister ? See how u insult the husband becos of poverty....you can be angry without using these words........I can imagine what she would be going through with no one there for her...She needs you, even if you dont have money to give her please be there for her mentally and emotionally...ah ah!!!
DeleteBv Big mama is a beautiful woman
ReplyDeleteHappy marriage anniversary to you and your husband. Many more beautiful years I wish you.
Amen π
DeleteThank you.
Radical, I also hate that Mummy Yimu or Daddy Yimu , I prefer we call each other by our first names or pet names.
ReplyDeleteStella , rice is the main staple food in Nigeria. It is easily available, quick to cook and relatively cheap. Also, easy to eat for kids especially.
I love rice in different forms but I can't eat it more than once daily.
Happy 28th wedding anniversary to Big Mama. You too fresh, come soft like my Momma.ππ₯°
ReplyDeleteHappy 27th wedding anniversary to Sarah Bakare. People dey here o. Shioor. Ejima K so na you be dis? ππ€Έ Your face and Ireti eh, it's an awwww something.
May God bless your homes abundantly.
Maturity in marriage...all these without prayers, fervent consistent prayers you'll lose that marriage. Get thee a family altar and hammer prayers there every morning...π
Stella...no vex but errmmm, all these northern bvs here what are they doing for you? Collect from them...millet,sorghum,quinoa, native butter flavored rice. Have you eaten cous cous?π€¨π
Helloooo. That's the chairman of delish in swallow.
If you want a jollof, season it on low heat till it's done but add a blend of ground ataiko and gbafilo(pinches only, filtered in water because they have sand) because you don't like pepper.
Roast before blending.
Gbafilo you crush it to get the tennis balls seed. Your skin will shine, your eyes will shine tland your hair go long dey go.
Nigerians are trapped in ignorance, simple. What rice? Here, maybe 2 times in one month especially for Sunday lunch with Ofe akwu made overnight (e get whyπ✌️). They don't even sample other varieties only 3; parboiled, ofada and brown rice.
Please, there's;
Basmati rice...some eat though.
Idli
Matta
Black
Broken
Sona masuri
Deviled.
Many others. They all have different aromas you'll love. West Africa has, stop buying Daleko and Mile 12 rice. Check cotonou border jor.π₯Ίπ
Things from Ivory Coast, Sierra and Lobe dey na.
I'm munching hot peppered puff puff sprinkled with granulated sugar.
If I talk where I finally found it and been dealing with it, una go cast me.
Chau!

@Lover girl narrative, that guy was indeed a wrecking ball. He showed you shege banza.

DeleteWrecking ball, your story na wetin most naija girls dey see. If I tell you what happened to one of my friends. Her boyfriend took her and one other girl to the Cinema at the same time and lied to both of them that the other girl was the cousin. They were all chatting and laughing with him not knowing they were his babes
