STAND ALONE NARRATIVE

SERIOUS ADVICE NEEDED

Stella please I urgently need your red pen on this and BVS opinions about what to do.I got two restaurants jobs at the same time earlier this month with the same salary, let me explain how the two jobs go.

The first job: 5am to 5pm, and most of the time, till pass 6pm or 7pm, hardly do staff close by 5pm, a very poor staff food, only eba, okro and stew or white rice and stew, which some times, the stew will be sour or fresh less, with no protein, the only time staff are permitted to eat protein is when they have Titus fish head that has been cut off from the ones that will be sold to the customers, and the fish head will not have a single flesh with it.....

 if there's no fish head, no protein, the salary is always paid at the middle of following month or beyond, which means if you work there this month, you're going to collect your salary next month at the middle of the month, and you must give one month notice before you leave, otherwise your salary is forfeited because it won't be paid at the end of the month....

So nothing like you want to leave at the end of the month after collecting salary, but the accommodation is okay at least, and it's very Trekable.

The second job also has accommodation, but very far from workplace and spend at least #1200 for TF, or more than that most of the time, they have bus that always go there at midnight and came back early in the morning, but not every time, the accommodation is too full of crowd and there are a lot of bedbugs, the house is choking, toxicity, playing of music by staff which you cant complain, least they will be offended...

The water is very bad, the workplace is another thing on it's own, if you always mind your business and can't lick supervisor, head of team and chef's ass, you won't be in their good book, and if they hurt you either by mistake or not, you're expected not to complain because they will say you're rude and disrespectful, but their staff food is okay, less working hours compared to the first job, and overtime sometimes if your reliever doesn't come early, but ever since I started this job, I've not had peace, no proper sleep because of the accommodation issues...

You will be forced to leave the work premises after your shift, and they won't permit you to wait for staff bus in the midnight unless you're hiding somewhere either you have TF or not I'm thinking of resigning and give them two weeks notice according to their protocol, go back to the former one or endure till I see another one, note that sitting down at home isn't an option for me.

Let me explain some incident that happened at my current workplace about the toxicity, I was at somewhere sitting down at the workplace and two people were playing, and one wanted to splash water to her second from inside kitchen through window but the water poured on all my body and it was a hot dirty whitish water, I complained and instead of that person to apologize immediately, she was asking me from the kitchen who was talking, and I told the person to be using her sense next time she wants to pour water because that was the second time someone would pour me water from that building in the name of playing with someone else and no apologise.

She came out and started ranting that why should I insult her because I don't know who is who, while her second that she wanted to pour water on started insulting me that what if it's HR that poured me water, is that how I would talk and I said that I don't care who that person is, so far the person poured me water and refuse to apologize and questioning me instead, I will insult that person again and again, they were now carrying the statement up and down as if I said I will insult HR if she pours me water without them mentioning it at first...

I'm losing my mind here and regret coming here at the first place, and nobody even corrected her or see anything wrong in what she did, even the head chef was saying who gave me the right to insult her despite knowing what she did and said she asked the right question by asking me who was talking after I was complaining, that I suppose to answer her that I was the one talking...

I later learned that she's a supervisor...

Does that mean they can do anything because they are superiors at work? 

This your Chronicle seeking for advice stressed me reading..I got upset with it....Please leave this Job and go back to the first one that you eat fish head without protein....You must not eat protein...
