FCT Minister Wike And Naval Officers In Heated Argument Over Land Dispute

Wike is alleged to be doing a good Job but his approach stinks! He cannot keep insulting people because he is Minister!...An!mal in human skin!!!

Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike, had a clash with armed naval officers on Tuesday in Gaduwa, Abuja.
Wike while addressing the media said he came in person to enforce control against illegal developments on a site allegedly seized without approval by retired Chief of Naval Staff Vice Admiral Awwal Zubairu Gambo.

The confrontation featured intense verbal exchanges, with Wike accusing the officers of intimidation and the lead officer, Lieutenant Yarima, defended his actions as following orders from a superior...
Wike said he would not succumb to alleged blackmail because they are the military. It is alleged that the Chief of Defence Staff General Christopher Musa had to intervene with a phone call to prevent the situation from further escalation.

  4. What are soldiers doing guarding private property? Not excusing Wike at all but I fail to understand what business soldiers have guarding non government property.

Knowing who Wike is, the documents of that land have been revoked.

    1. The officer is the ADC of the former chief of Naval Staff. The land belongs to the CNS and is still under construction. The CNS even though retired, is entitled to still have an ADC till he dies, and a deployment of ratings in all his houses wherever they are within Nigeria, till he dies. So it is not surprising if you see his ADC on the site of his building.

    3. Recognizer-in-chief, go sleep, you de democracy? Mumu

    4. We don't care! Did you see how humiliated, powerless and pained wike felt? So long as they also taste and feel what the masses are feeling, even if it's for 5 seconds, wetin concern us?

    5. Was Fubara not a sitting govenor, whom he was mercilessly and continiously disgraced for so long publicly. Nah now all of una wake up. So you didnt recognise what his actions meant for democracy and freedom, when he was doing similar thing to a sitting govenor. Reading some comments like this is so upsetting, sometimes we should learn to sit somethings out. Hypocrites.

And by the way, if perhaps this same officer confronted someone like Govenor Otti of Abia State, or perhaps Minister of Interior Mr Tunji -Ojo or any ot these working ministers who still keep their head in check, despite their office, the support may not have been massive as it was in this particular situation.
