Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike, had a clash with armed naval officers on Tuesday in Gaduwa, Abuja.
Wike while addressing the media said he came in person to enforce control against illegal developments on a site allegedly seized without approval by retired Chief of Naval Staff Vice Admiral Awwal Zubairu Gambo.

Wike said he would not succumb to alleged blackmail because they are the military. It is alleged that the Chief of Defence Staff General Christopher Musa had to intervene with a phone call to prevent the situation from further escalation.

The officer is the ADC of the former chief of Naval Staff. The land belongs to the CNS and is still under construction. The CNS even though retired, is entitled to still have an ADC till he dies, and a deployment of ratings in all his houses wherever they are within Nigeria, till he dies. So it is not surprising if you see his ADC on the site of his building.
