The concluding part of the press release says....

“My decision to marry her properly according to tradition is now being twisted into a tool for political blackmail. This is a witch-hunt that has been ongoing for years, an attempt to stop my developmental strides and tarnish me now that I am a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,”

Outside of that, if two legal adults choose to be together, I genuinely don’t care. People act shocked about age gaps, but many of these “exposed” young women were already dating married men, men much older than them. So will there be outrage if he had dated Regina but didn’t marry her?
I’ll never support polygamy for myself, but I have no issue with those who choose it willingly, with full consent from everyone involved. That’s their business.
As for Regina, thank God she’s out now.
And for everyone pushing age narrative. Please make sure you have the correct age and evidence to back it up whether 17 or 19 incase you get sued for forgery. Using forged narrative to fight makes nonsense of our fight as women.
