I wonder too
ReplyDeleteShe’s actually on point. I also wonder myself. In advanced countries and across Europe, the legal system is strong enough to enforce that level of compensation. But in Africa, especially Nigeria, I don’t think we have gotten to that point yet. Our justice system still has a long way to go in terms of accountability, enforcement, and timely compensation.
ReplyDeleteGood question
ReplyDeleteI also think,it's really ridiculous. 🤪
ReplyDeleteWe gather dey be that o. I was here thinking May Edochie was cashing out with the court cases
ReplyDeleteall are audio.
ReplyDeleteI also wonder
ReplyDeleteLike Tate and Peggy Ovire case
ReplyDeleteThey usually are awarded an amount that the court deems fit, not usually up to the amount requested, it's called a judgement debt. Getting the money is another conversation, especially when you are dealing with a rich and connected person that wants to punish you, you go hold judgement debt dey wait money for years, or if the judgement creditor declares bankruptcy, it is expected that the court can seize property and sell but officials can be corrupt, collect settlement and keep you with judgement debt that never translates to money. May God not let us see problem.
