I tell people often that, no be everything wey dey tell you to do,you go do. Not everything you see online you must believe or try at home. Always use your senses.
I met a young couple this at a friend's place .
The guy's wife was with my friend's wife discussing while husband was in the living room with my friend. They were discussing about life and my friend was also advising and encouraging the JJC in marriage.
I sat with them because me too need to learn since my friend's marriage don clock 10 years. Not long, the JJC complained to my friend that, he is weak and can't have fun again till may be after 3 months . I readjusted myself so i can hear properly....
He said, someone advised them to have sxxxx everyday if they want to be pregnant on time (Note: their marriage is just a year and few months). He said, him and his wife have been having sxxxxx everyday for two weeks now and he is tired of everything .
I just started laughing immediately he said it. My friend and I laugh so tey, the guy was confused. I was like, who does that? Someone asked you to have sxxxx everyday and you couldn't use your brain. I asked him if the wife is now pregnant and he said no. I had a good laugh...
I told him to be careful and not kill himself with the sxxxx. Why on earth will you listen to such? Your wife might not feel it that much but person wey dey supply water go feel am. We corrected him and forged ahead to another aspect of the couple's life.
This made me remember years back when i got to know and meet the man who fathered me. I went to my dad's place at Onipan then, just to stay for some time and i had lapalapa on my head.

Someone now told my dad to put acid(you know, i was young and mushin blood dey my body). My father came home with OMI BATTERY and poured it ooo.. Since then, hair no grow for that sport again. But seriously, before the place heal, hmmm, it was another story.
So, be careful of what you hear, read or come through. No be everything wey dem tell you or you see online you must try at home.
We keep moving

Thank you for the write up teejay. That excess3code man is the must annoying man in this plug. Only him is beggar only him is bitter misogyny. I think there is no woman in his family that have money that is why when ever he heard that a woman achieve or built house he will start itching his blockos and calling the woman ashawo or asking how she get the money. A fort years man acting like a baby. But when Santa come from a a strong hustling lady like aunty Stella the same yeye man is always number one to collect from aunty Stella without complaining. Bitter leaf man how will you make money if you continue to be angry that young women are richer than you but when young boys make money you don't complain. You have lucky that aunty Stella is a billionaire that have good heart and she don't used to care about who she's giving her money to. Oga go and change for good and repent too so that you will not be an a fool at fifty years. Tanks
ReplyDeletePinky is the writer, not Teejay.

DeleteHappy Sunday here, that Omi battery I don’t know how people come about using it for eczema and end up giving some children scars. TTC is not easy but the man should seek advice from the right source
ReplyDeleteTrue talk, especially online advicers,
ReplyDeleteOnline perfect people and perfect couples. Nothing is perfect and take there advice with a pitch of salt.
WE KEEP MOVING!!
Are you sure there are no perfect married couple?
DeleteSure as in really sure?
We learn by the day.
Hmmmmmmmnnnn
TTC is not a funny thing especially in this society of ours where people don't mind their business, you will be under pressure to try a whole lot of advice coming from every Okeke and Okafor.I pray your friend gets the education he needs, people TTC should have sex often but no be this one abeg.May God come through for them and everyone TTC
ReplyDeleteThat was how one woman in my area was advised to put her son's bum inside hot water because of pile, she did and the boy's bum started rotting, the boy later kpai because of that.
ReplyDeleteIn 2009 when I was seriously ill with chronic malaria and measles, everybody was advising my mum not to take me to hospital because according to them, anybody that takes injection because of measles will die, thank God my mum didn't listen to them and took me to hospital, I was admitted on emergency, the doctor said assuming my mum brought me late two days to that time, it's 💯 death, and I knew the doctor was not exaggerating because the pains and the discomfort were too much, and I and people thought I would not make it.
People should seek medical advice from the right sources and not just anyone.
I am always the annoying skeptic that questions everything. If it doesn’t make sense in my head I just can’t do it. All those investment scams I never jumped on. It is very much okay to discern things for yourself and not run with the crowd.
ReplyDeleteThere’s a dangerous romance Nigerians have with advice. Once it’s loud, emotional, or repeated often enough, sense is expected to take a back seat. Where we confuse urgency with wisdom and tradition with truth.
ReplyDeleteBy implication according to today's post from @Pinky's Corner, that’s how sex became a factory shift, and acid was used for hair treatment, while we renamed it “trying out a solution” without any professional advice.
For a moment, let's forget the sex and the Omi Battery horror, my worry is how easily adults outsource thinking. As if common sense is optional once something is wrapped in confidence. Especially for women and couples, whose bodies are treated like public experiments. Everyone becomes an expert, nobody carries the consequences with the victim.
It's even more painful, when those you ought to know better become gullible to unverified narratives.
No one's body should be a group project. Fertility issues are not a punishment for whatever wrong. And not every voice deserves a vote in our lives. Sometimes the most intelligent thing you can do is pause, ask one hard question, and refuse to be hurried into harm.
When did sense become this ignorant?
Kudos Pinky.
