The gunmen had earlier rustled cattle from Kabunga village in Kware Local Government Area and were moving toward Bakura town in Zamfara State when the villagers intercepted them.
According to the report, brave youths from the two communities engaged the bandits in what was described as a “fierce gun battle,” managing to recover cattle, rams and camels. Some of the bandits were killed, while others escaped with gunshot wounds.
The recovered animals were handed over to the Chairman of Rabah Local Government Area for checks and eventual return to their owners in Kabunga.

ReplyDeleteThe villagers should not relax, they should always be on alert, because I know they will want to come back.
