The goal is simply to stop the excesses and make renting a house fairer for everyone, especially young people and low income families who feel the inflated cost the most.
The announcement came during a stakeholders meeting organized by the Oyo State Agency for Youth Development. The Speaker made it clear that the bill will be prepared and sent to Governor Seyi Makinde for approval once ready.
In 2025, during the Oyo State Real Estate Conference, he called for better rules in the sector to protect people from high and unclear fees.
They should do this in Kaduna too, these agents are becoming worse than politicians.
