ReplyDeleteThis particular Pastor is fond of this, if you look at it another way, the Bible supports that those who preach the gospel should eat from the gospel (1 Cor 9:14),so they can actually defend their actions.The way out is to have a personal relationship with God and the spirit of discernment.

DeleteOnly 5% of pastors can genuinely preach the word without asking for seed offering, like without that offering God wouldn't answer our prayers or we must bribe God before our prayers can be answered.
ReplyDeleteThey do it often in my church and it's becoming embarrassing. Once you just see invited pastor, just know seed must be raise to support the work of God aka his transport .
Sometimes last year, after our Rev finish raising his usual offering, an invited pastor try to raise and non of us responded he talk and talk and felt embarrassed because according to him, he was sent by the district superintendent.
There was a time an invited pastor raised a lot of money and our Rev held meeting the following Sunday, telling us we don't respect him and respond much when he our local head try to raise money. This one is even small ooh compare to departmental dues and hosts of activities that we've to pay for.We were surprised. Abeg stories plenty
This is a well know church that pastors; kumuyi, Idahosa, Oyakhilomhe and host of other strong ministers of God came out from. Although we've started another fellowship and gradually leaving them.
