The case which was brought by the Inspector‑General of Police before the FCT High Court, accuses Abebe of criminal conspiracy, fraud, unlawful disclosure of confidential medical records, and allegedly selling a couple’s embryos.
According to the charge sheet, Dr. Abebe reportedly collected ₦19 million from a couple under the guise of providing IVF treatment, diverted the funds for personal use, and released their private medical information without consent.
