ReplyDeleteHmmmmm
I Still Love The Name Papa Ajasco ooo
Hello iya Boys
Whatever you do I wish you success in it. The best thing an entertainer can do for themselves is to own their performance name. Welcome, Bondu Alaska
ReplyDeleteBonds Alaska we stan
ReplyDeleteNo one is restricting his career or performance. He is using sentiments to try to steal the brain child of a man who planned his own retirement from the 70s when he developed this cartoon character and continued to nurture it using more than 1 actor. That same man developed a secondary school, acting school, and continues to feed and empower thousands of creatives directly or indirectly.
ReplyDeleteThis man only works with the artists for 6 weeks a year so they have 46 good weeks yearly to build their own brand and go other sets and make money. WAP has not prevented others: Akpan, Oduma, Miss Pepeye from making millions. Pa James/ Ajirebi continue to work and make money. WAP didn't prevent him from showcasing his talent and skill on the Internet, making skits, uploading series, dancing etc but he preferred hanging around government circles hoping for something to drop from so called big men. This is not Baba Adenuga's problem- a man who has built a business and vast network that means he remains an asset the so called big men have to pay.
Mr Ayoyinka is a lazy creative who was looking for handouts and hoping to inherit Baba Adenuga' work as if he didn't sign a contract. He is the most educated person on that set so why is he now pretending to be a victim?
He wants to take over not just the character but by default, the effort of script writers, directors, PMs, editors and other cast who have nurtured a finished work. He should develop his own Alaska and see how easy it is to build and finance a brand.
He chose to remain in civil service year after year, waiting for what will drop and is now throwing the same man that has given him the biggest fame under the bus. Why is he not dragging the government who he worked with for decades for underpaying him: because that may jeopardize his tip from the highest office, occupied by someone who calls him friend.
Bully Wright, Antar Laniyan, Rachel Oniga, and other big names passed through WAP and built themselves, yet one of the longest running staff who even begged to come back is acting like a big baby.
Your points are well-articulated and reasonable. ππΎππΎ
DeleteIntellectual property is owned by the original creative/developer and any breach comes with serious legal implications.
GRATITUDE will keep opening doors that talent alone might not open.
Mr. Ayoyinka could've approached this matter from a business strategy rather than sentiments.
It's not good to fall out with someone who has given you a foothold or shoulder to rise higher in life.
For example, he could've worked out a contractual agreement with WAP to use his onscreen name and character, Papa Ajasco to anchor events as an MC or a comic interlude, then SPLIT the earnings, 60%:40% (he can take the higher percentage).
Obviously someone from WAP or even his children. Lol
DeleteHe has moved on and so should you.
DeleteMy thoughts too, he is only looking for someone to blame.
DeleteThank you 18:59 and 20:13.
DeleteAnon 18:59, you are correct. Even kehinde bankole, Shola Shobowale(Toyin Tomato) were products of WAP.
DeleteBut today, they act in other movies and make money. WAP never restricted anyone of them from working on other sets.
He only wants profit from a character he didn't own. He needs to do better for himself
All the best
ReplyDeleteCongratulations
ReplyDeleteOk, kudos to him
