He explained that debts owed to gas suppliers and maintenance on key pipelines reduced the gas flow needed to run power plants.
Adelabu assured Nigerians that repairs were almost done and power supply will improve within two weeks.
He also added that the government was working to restore stability and return to the more reliable levels seen in 2025.

Let Me Watch First Before Making Another Zobo
Hello iya Boys
I have never seen a country as backward in electricity supply as Nigeria. This problem has persisted for decades, yet no administration has been able to provide a lasting solution.
ReplyDeleteHow does a nation that cannot supply enough power to its own citizens still export electricity to neighboring countries? Isn’t that a clear contradiction?
No light here since January. Most people pay money to charge phones. This holiday is not holidaying at all. I can't wait to go back wallahi.
ReplyDeleteNo need to apologize! Stupid people will still vote you people in again! Ride on! Keep them all in darkness!
ReplyDeleteWhat was the electricity situation in Anambra with Obi at the helm? If Obi finally accepts the VP slot he is desperately seeking from Atiku as if he will spend like Amaechi, you will answer what Atiku did with power for 8 years after 16 billion dollars.
DeleteThe people you insulted in 2023 are waiting to respond again.
Shame !!!!
ReplyDeleteMinister of power that his hometown is the worst in not getting power, majority areas in Ibadan city and it's environment are in total darkness, I don't even look forward to go there anymore, some people haven't seen light in their area for almost four months and above, areas that are enjoying light in Ibadan are not up to five and he's spitting gibberish.
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile, he will be contesting for governorship election in Oyo state, and his fellow mumu will vote for him, someone that can't handle ordinary power as a minister of power, I wonder how he will manage a whole big Oyo state as a governor.
*it's environments*
DeleteAnd he set two weeks. Smh.
ReplyDeleteWe know he will soon resign by end of March to go and contest for governorship post in his state, according to netizens who have been seeing his posters flying around there.
Foolish Nigerians will still vote for him.
His principal, BAT promised to give us stable light within two years in power, he said we should not vote him in for second term if he doesn't do it. Now three years in, light got worse instead,.
I'm just watching all of them.
Nigeria na my country, I must to do better for am.
ReplyDeleteThe man that promised you people 24 hours power supply has opted for solar system.
ReplyDeleteBelieve these people and have headaches
I can never understand how a country that sells oil, gold to the world, and electricity to neighbouring nations has a challenge generating power for its own people. Nigeria is a country of great irony and lacklustre leaders who scrape by delivering the bare minimum, literally no effort and no care. Which successfully run nation depends on generators to get by. A robust electricity grid that is dependable and reliable is always at work. Productivity remains high and the people have an enhanced quality of life. I truly believe that the dismal life expectancy rate is in some ways connected to the lack of reliable electricity.
ReplyDeleteIncompetent minister of power. What do you have sun of over 33 degrees for if not to use alternative modes of power such as solar to give Nigerians 24/7 light. Nigerians wake up. Enough is enough.
ReplyDeleteSo we have a Minister of Power in this country?
ReplyDeleteNne nawa o....
No light yet they force endless incremental bills on the citizens monthly for ABSOLUTE DARKNESS YEAR IN YEAR OUT. When has all the borrowed billions gone to? Where has all the BUDGETED billions entered? You force DARKNESS on your citizens and INSIST THEY PAY FOR DARKNESS then run to apologize? Please do the needful and stop this public shame and ridicule of our nation, let Nigerians SUFFER just one problem and know it is one not multiple problems at once- darkness for light; kidnapping at home, in school, church, work, road, on the tree etc; endless emotional fuel hike and transportation cost ; excessive inflated house and shop rents; over bloated school fees; acute inflation forced poverty and hunger; long-term terrorism and blood bath; underemployment; etc.
