A video in circulation shows the moment the vehicle hit her, and colleagues rushed to pull her out...When the medical team arrived, they were unable to revive her.
NSCDC spokesperson Afolabi Babawale confirmed the incident, calling it a tragic accident. He said senior officers are already visiting the family to condole with them, and that an official statement would be released soon.

I saw the video but I couldn't bear to watch it to the end. The car ran her over. May her soul rest in peace.
ReplyDeleteKai I saw that video. So she died?
ReplyDeleteEyaah.
That video shook me to my bones.
ReplyDeleteWho exactly is it that thought creating an all female squad was a good idea? How did the driver lose situational awareness enough that she couldn't see a human being lying right in front of her vehicle? She wanted to impress the crowd and show off but ended up crushing a fellow officer under her Hilux.
ReplyDeleteThis is just unfortunate.
I don't understand. What is wrong with an all female squad. When disasters like this happen with the male folks, is it attributed to gender?
DeleteLet’s ask the trainers. Training exercises involve planning, who planned it? Who discussed safety protocols or put safety measures in place to ensure that the trainees all remain safe? Some places use inflatables/dummies for high risk training exercises, why was a living person made to participate? Those who planned it are the ones who need to tell the investigators why this happened.
DeleteSpoken like a true misogynist! Libya, China have all female squads. In ancient times the woman king of Dahomey's female soldiers and body guards were world renowned. Mchew
DeleteThis has nothing to do with the gender of the squad.
DeleteIt’s not like the male squads are any better ๐
Oh Lord ๐ญ
