Investigators linked him to over 10,000 fraudulent federal tax returns, attempts to claim more than $91 million, and over $11.6 million in refunds he actually received.
The Justice Department argues that he obtained U.S. citizenship through fraud and concealment, all while running a criminal operation that stole personal data, bypassed IRS security systems, and funneled money overseas.
Kazeem, who had been previously sentenced to 15 years in prison and ordered to pay over $12 million in restitution, now faces the possibility of losing his naturalized status entirely.
