The discovery occurred during a clearance operation in the Ubaha–Orsu axis of Imo State, where troops came under heavy fire but pushed through and uncovered shallow graves believed to contain the bodies of Master Warrant Officer Linus Musa Audu and Private Gloria Mathew were abducted and killed four years ago on their way for marriage rites.
The Army says the remains have been secured for forensic confirmation and that the operation is part of its ongoing effort to dismantle criminal hideouts and bring closure to families of fallen personnel.
