A big society wedding is loading as Olamide Okoya is set to wed Imran Saro Gobir, the son of the late Ambassador Abubakar Garba Gobir.
Her mother, Shade Okoya, made the announcement during her 49th birthday celebration, turning the event into a double celebration.
The engagement ceremony will hold on Saturday April 25, 2026.

DeleteI've been giving a lot of thought to the wedding news and I just can't shake this feeling I have about her situation. To me, it seems like the girl might still be a bit young to be embarking on something as monumental as marriage. It feels like she's still very much in the process of figuring out who she is, and jumping into such a huge commitment at this stage just gives me pause, you know?

Considering her father's age and ongoing health concerns, it makes perfect sense that Sade want him to experience the joy of seeing one of her own biological children walk down the aisle. It's a completely understandable desire for any parent, wanting to share those precious family milestones. It just makes me think about all the different factors that can play into these big life decisions.
