The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has called on parents and candidates to speak up if they are sure of their UTME scores but are denied admission.Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, speaking on NTA’s Good Morning Nigeria, said the admission process is now transparent through the Central Admission Processing System (CAPS). He stressed that illegal practices are no longer necessary.
Oloyede explained that since 2017, CAPS has ensured fairness in admissions. He also revealed that JAMB has tightened checks on direct entry applications, making it difficult to forge results. Degrees are now verified with awarding institutions, including foreign universities.
He noted that in 2023 alone, 77 cases of fraud were caught, but stronger prevention measures have reduced fake applications.

Lies,
ReplyDeleteHow many Jambitos pass JAMB and are denied admission? A lot!
I was a casualty for several years until God intervened. You pass exam and post UTME with good score, they still say catchment area is an impediment.
Nigerian university admissions is fully compromised.
