I've someone who had bwest cancer 3years ago. I just realized I didn't see her for some time then i called her husband. That was how we(wify and I) got to know she was sick and taking agbo. W went to pay them a visit and she told my wife that she had a lump in her left bwest and then, it has become so big and bringing out something.
When husband said they are using agbo that it will cute it(i just look both of them laf). We forced them to see a doctor and before you know, the bwest was cut off because it has turn to cancer.
Lng story short, since then, the wife has refused to go for chemotherapy. She said, someone introduced her to one woman at one village(very far from ibadan). Ifact, she told me categorically 3months ago that, i should follow her to the place that the woman can help my wife and I in this WAITING PERIOD.

I smiled and thanked her. Now, she has been taken back to the hospital before her case is now worsen. The other bwest has been affected because she failed to do chemo and resulted to taking agbo. After spending millions to Ile Alagbo.
Don't get me wrong, herbal is good but it doesn't work when your ailment has moved from stage one to two. It is even more dangerous for you taking herbal from anyhow person. Same thing with a colleague during my Master's level, who had a fibroid in her.(very hige one from test result and she was just 28years or so). She failed to operate it and went ahead with agbo.

Now, she is still looking for money to go for operation because she is not enjoying her life any longer. Something she should have done freely when covered with NHIS while as a UI student.

Nice write up.
ReplyDeleteThat was how I was taking agbo when I had fibroids, it didn't work but just hid the symptoms, after I stopped, the symptoms came back with vengeance.
ReplyDeleteIgnorance and delay in treatment can be very costly
ReplyDeleteDelay in treatment is dangerous. A classmate of mine has colon cancer and has refused to go for treatment even chemotherapy. He said anybody that does chemotherapy doesn't last up to 5 years. So painful that an educated person is saying all these. He is totally dependent on different herbal medicine and he is getting thinner by the day. He keeps saying evil people stone am the thing.
ReplyDeleteChemotherapy is rough but many ppl have survived it and lived for decades later.
DeleteAgbo may help in mild or early cases, but it cannot replace proper medical care. Delaying hospital treatment can worsen the condition especially cases like fibroid and cancer.
ReplyDeleteAlways seek medical attention early.
Ignorance is a disease. I have decided to let my fibroid be, it's a huge one, though I don't wish my enemy what I always experience during my monthly flow, but i have decided to let it be since i am in my late forties. May God help the woman.
ReplyDeleteHaaa!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI’m not taking agbo for anything.
