Army Arrests Woman Accused Of Delivering Supplies To Her ISWAP Son In Borno State

Troops in Borno State have arrested a 50‑year‑old woman for allegedly taking food items and hijabs to her son, said to be a member of the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), a terrorist group responsible for severe violence and human rights abuses in Nigeria’s northeast.

Security sources disclosed that the woman was intercepted during a routine patrol after intelligence reports indicated she had been supplying materials to insurgents hiding in the bush. The items recovered from her included foodstuffs and clothing believed to be intended for her son and other fighters.

The suspect is currently in military custody for further investigation, as authorities continue efforts to dismantle supply networks aiding terrorist activities in the region.
