LASCOPA Raises Alarm As Adulterated Palm Oil Floods Lagos Markets

Why are Nigerians so wicked?...Imagine this!!!

Lagos State Consumer Protection Agency (LASCOPA) has raised an alarm over the circulation of adulterated palm oil in Lagos markets....

Punch Newspapers reports that the agency sealed a shop on Lagos Island after market surveillance and consumer complaints confirmed the sale of contaminated, artificially enhanced palm oil containing harmful substances such as candle wax, chemicals and dyes, which the agency warned “are capable of causing serious health complications, including food poisoning, stomach disorders, tissue and liver damage”
LASCOPA urged residents to be vigilant, avoid unusually bright or thick palm oil, and buy only from trusted sellers ...

Even trusted sellers might abuse this trust by selling same or may not even know that the Oil is adulterated.....Please just stop using oil to cook for now

  5. Palm Oil
    Vegetable Oil
    Honey
    Shea Butter
    Palm Kernel Oil.
    Fruits
    Quality Beef/chicken etc.

You see these 6 items ehn, if you find a GENUINE vendor, hold am by their brokus. Don't let go.

If they are not preserving something with embalming fluid, they are dousing with coloring or dangerous pesticides. You will buy mango and be tasting cocoyam cocoyam in your mouth

Three are so many things I've stopped eating because I don't understand anymore.

In 2022 or 2023, I shared a comment on this blog about a loaf of 🍞 that refuse to decay. The bread said no, not today, not this week not this month sef. I travelled out of state for a sudden assignment. By the time I came back a few days later, I said let me throw away the bread...only to see what I bought was still looking fresh as if it arrived from bakery.

I left the bread there and started studying it like a house plant. 2 weeks, 4 weeks, 2 months...I believe it was 2 months + 1 month that I eventually flung that bread out. Na me tire, no be the bread. Bread wan live forever. Can you see why cancer is on the rise?

Imagine if I had come to my social media pages to complain, that's how one cursed company will use police like errand boys to pick up their parents in handcuffs at midnight.

Whatever you can make on your own, make it. Whatever you can plant, plant. If you can go to the farmers markets or send someone you trust, do it. Choose fresh, living food as much as possible. Be more intentional about what you allow in your mouth.

    Avoid rotten tomatoes.
