DeleteJobless is different from poor. Going out and coming in daily is not the same as providing for a home. Many women have fallen for such men who hide behind a "job" or "business" to marry sisters as their real ATM card.

ReplyDeleteYesterday on the blog we saw how beautiful Banky W and Adesua were together as they talked about navigating a similar issue. Adesua can't cook to save her own life, Banky does. And they have a beautiful marriage that has stood the test of time.
I don't think a woman's ability to cook ranks highly for men of my generation. Can she hold conversation? Is she sound in handling finances? Is there a general sense of order in her life? Is she respectful? Can she give mind blowing s*x? That's what we look out for.

The Will of God In Choosing A Partner
ReplyDeleteThe ONLY CRITERION that believers, men or women, should consider in choosing a spouse is "the will of God". Any other reasons are invalid.
God can see the future and knows the best person to journey with each of His children in order to fulfil their purpose on earth.
A jobless man can strike it rich as well as a rich man can fall on hard times.
A woman who cannot cook can develop interest in catering , go to school and become a chef.
Many years ago my uncle was trying to woo a lady who was playing hard to get. She accepted a proposal from a man who visited from Lago to inform his parents (based in Ibadan) that he got a banking job and an official car (Peugot 504).
The lady fell for him and got pregnant. My uncle was heartbroken and moved in with us to heal.
Three months after the guy returned to Lagos, he was arrested with some other staff. Long and short, the guy went to jail for ten years.
