The Deputy President of the 9th Senate and Obarisi of Urhoboland Senator Ovie Omo Agege has resigned from the APC....
The Official letter he submitted on May 22, 2026 reads
''I hereby resign my membership of the All Progressives Congress, effective immediately.
After reviewing recent developments in the party in Delta State and consulting with my associates and supporters, it is clear my political stance and the interests of my constituents are better served outside the APC. I will not remain a sitting duck in a party where I cannot advance the interests of Delta Central, Delta State and Nigeria.
I thank the party for the opportunity to serve as Deputy President of the 9th Senate. I wish the APC well and request that my name be removed from all membership records, registers, and communication lists.
My focus remains on delivering development and effective representation for Delta Central, Delta State, and Nigeria. I will pursue these goals outside the APC''.

Hmmm.🙄🙄🙄
ReplyDeleteThis will have been Peter Obi case in ADC but the universe lead him out while the ovation was still loud.
ReplyDeleteMan like Peter Obi.
Na their way. Let's see the one he ports to
ReplyDeleteLmao. It has always been for their personal gains. APC dey intrude APC
ReplyDeleteIt's already too late.
ReplyDeleteWhen the primary had been conducted.
The moment they lose an election, they start to sing like Canary as if the seat is meant permanently for them only, or as if they properly do their home work or carry enough stakeholders along to warrant their continuous winning. Power is transient, the earlier you know it the better.
ReplyDeleteCongrats DSP. Wish u well in ur new sojourn
ReplyDeleteLate in the game. In 2023, someone invested in a bad market that did not "articulate" because of the promises from a cabal. That market tanked and the secret wasn't hidden. 4 local governments out of how many? How many votes in the state election when you were trying to re-enter good books?
ReplyDeleteThe people who survived these shenanigans federally won't allow someone to cause trouble in the red chamber again or gatekeep their governor. The people who didn't gain from you in the state elections won't let you block the ambition of their ranking senator frontman who brought them in.
Anyone resigning should do so with civility so no one starts reconsidering certain security contracts.
