Nigerian comedian Bovi Ugboma in a recent interview clip, shared a strong opinion that every marriage should come with a five year contract renewal within the two families with questions like “Do you still want to marry?”, “Are you happy in this marriage?”, “Is the sxx life good?”, “Does he shout or hit you”, “Does he provide for you” that can end if the couples are not happy.
Bovi explained that when the contract is about to finish, especially in the last year, many women and men would work hard to adjust their behaviour to keep the marriage going. He believes couples could renew their marriage if things are going well, or part ways peacefully when the time is up. He explained that this approach might reduce pressure and help people stay happy.

I do not agree with this idea cos the stress of Marriage or parenthood will make some people sign out to make new contracts with new people.....

Since it's a 5yr tenure, just go there , achieve all you have to greedily achieve , use the opportunity to syphon all you have to syphon if possible, so you won't loose anything. No sacrifice or adjustment for the sake of love. All should be for selfish interest.

They're supposed to be built on trust, care, and mutual understanding, not just legal obligations. Marriage shouldn't be treated like a rent-to-own deal. It's about building a life together, through ups and downs. A 5-year contract implies it's a temporary arrangement, which isn't exactly the vibe anyone would want for a lifelong partnership.
If marriage had a 5-year contract, people might start treating relationships like disposable rentals. The dating pool would become super toxic, and people might lose faith in commitment altogether. It's like, why invest in something if it's just gonna expire?
