Miss UNIJOS Promise Dikko Reveals Bandits Unalifed Her Fiancé, Lieutenant Ifeanyi Months Before Their Wedding

Miss Promise Dikko, a Banking and Finance undergraduate and the reigning Miss University of Jos (UNIJOS), has shared the heartbreaking account of how her fiancé, Lieutenant Ifeanyi, was killed by bandits just months before their wedding.

The Edo‑born beauty queen said she spoke with her fiancé on Monday morning and afternoon, but his phone suddenly became unreachable. She initially assumed it was a network issue or a minor phone problem.

By Tuesday morning, worry set in and she tried contacting his sister and also reached out to his coursemates and anyone connected to him. Unknown to her, the tragedy had already occurred.
According to her, bandits attacked and killed the young army officer during an operation in Rigasa, Kaduna State, after intercepting him and his colleagues.
She stressed that he was not kidnapped, but died in active service.

The couple had fixed 27 December 2026 for their wedding and had already made substantial preparations and bookings.
Despite her pain, Ms Dikko said she remains proud of him, and described him as a patriot who died trying to save others.
She posted
“He gave his life while trying to save people. I am very proud of him. He’s a fighter. He loved his country. The only thing I’m sad about is that I don’t get to spend the rest of my life with him. I will miss him. But I love him. He’s my hero.”

She added that she is not concerned about whether the military has issued a statement, and said that the institution has its protocols.
She announced his death in an emotional Facebook post, sharing a pre‑wedding photo she had saved for a happier moment.

“RIP my hero. I kept this photo to post it when it is close to the wedding date. 27th December was supposed to be the date. We have made prep and bookings. But you left me. Bandit killed you for me. Nigeria happened to me.”

Quit this demonic confession of x happened to you. If you live in or associated with x and you are seeing it as synonymous with evil, realize what you're expecting and quit it.
