Security analyst Zagazola Makama revealed the development in a report shared on his X handle, citing military sources.
The strikes, carried out on May 31 around the Kirta and Arina Ciki axis, targeted established terrorist hideouts and logistical bases after actionable intelligence indicated increased insurgent activity in the area.
Post‑strike evaluations showed that those eliminated included Khalifa Umar, a key member of the terrorists’ Shura Council from Sigir, along with two other field commanders identified as Abdallah and Abduljalil.
The operation reportedly resulted in the deaths of more than fifty fighters. Several logistics hubs, supply depots, and life‑support structures used by the terrorists were also destroyed, significantly weakening their operational capacity across the Lake Chad Basin.

It's quite impressive. They should also use the same force and tackle the insecurity issue in Nigeria.
