The Divide: A Tale of Two Worlds is a moving memoir that reveals the emotional cost of migration and the identity shifts that come with living between two cultures.
Through the story of a Nigerian woman who relocated to the United Kingdom, the book exposes the gap between the dream of “greener pastures” and the reality she met abroad. With honesty, she shares the sacrifices, culture shock, loneliness, and quiet grief of starting over , along with the resilience and rediscovery that shaped her journey.
She reflects on motherhood, marriage, faith, language, and the pressure to belong in a world that constantly challenged her identity. The memoir highlights the struggle to hold on to one’s roots and the invisible divide between generations and cultures.
More than a migration story, The Divide explores belonging, loss, identity, and the courage required to build a life in two places at once.
