While responding to claims made by Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi, the self-acclaimed Director-General of the PFIPC, the Presidency had said misled OAGF and opened a CBN account.

The Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service, NCS, Adewale Adeniyi, said yesterday the federal government has reduced the import tariffs on used vehicles from 15 per cent to five and on brand-new vehicles from 20 per cent to 10. A Nigerian medical graduate, Nnani Adaobi Marian, has died from injuries she sustained during a Russian airstrike on the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv, days after doctors in Ukraine and Germany battled unsuccessfully to save her life. The death was announced on Monday in a statement published on the Facebook page of the Kharkiv National Medical University, where Marian studied medicine.

The African Democratic Congress, ADC, has described reports that more than 17 million Nigerians, including infants and young children, are facing acute hunger as a growing humanitarian disaster created by the President Bola Tinubu administration’s incompetence, misplaced priorities and failed policies.
ADC’s spokesman, Bolaji Abdullahi said Nigerians are dying of starvation under his administration.
He was reacting to a United Nations World Food Programme, WFP, report showing that more than 17 million Nigerians across nine conflict-affected northern states are facing acute hunger.
A statement signed by Abdullahi, condemned the Tinubu-led APC Federal Government for what it described as its “cruel indifference” to the growing humanitarian crisis brought about principally by its failure to contain the banditry and terrorism that has displaced farming communities, as well as the harsh economic policies that have pushed food beyond the reach of millions of Nigerians.

Dangote Refinery, depot owners, and petroleum products marketers have agreed to further slash premium motor spirit prices across the value chain after meeting with the Nigerian government.
On Monday the federal government had insisted on further fuel price cuts by Dangote Refinery, depot owners, and marketers, respectively, on the basis of falling crude oil prices.
